Welcome to you, if this is the first time tuning in to Shackbaggerly.

We are Katie Johnson and Howard Middleton, who, if you’re a fan of ‘’The Great British Bake Off,’’ you’ll probably remember Howard for his stolen custard!

We met at a Food Festival twelve years ago, and fast became friends, and during lockdown, we began this podcast looking at old recipe books, and the wonderful quirky pages within.

It’s not all recipes, as Shackbaggerly does mean ‘anything loose and disorderly,’ so there’s daily happenings from where Howard is based in the Yorkshire city of Sheffield, and Katie near Ludlow, in rural Shropshire, often with a few smiles along the way.
