All True Crime Podcasts have music
I had subscribed to this podcast awhile back but I finally listened to the 1st episode. Now I’m extremely mad at myself for letting it just sit in my library especially with some of the crappy pods I’ve been listening to lol I think you did exceptionally well for your 1st True Crime investigation!!’ I like hearing all the little bits of (what some people consider rambling nonsense) information, it gives a story the 360° view!! Every podcast has some kind of music playing in the background a lot of them haven’t figured out that perfect mixed volume & when play it because it’s usually playing the whole time & eat to loud!!

It's OK
I'm from TN and enjoy the story telling aspect of it, however, the guitar playing does match with the theme. Am I listening to a podcast about a child's abduction or listenng to a jam band session? Looking forward to the Second Season. Overall, I like this podcast and it's good.

Loved this podcasts but THE PHONE INTERVIEWS
Are we using landlines from the 1980s or something? I loved this podcast but could not listen to any with most of the phone interviews. Unintelligible and crackly. I mean it’s 2020. I can open my garage door from Florida or feed my dog a treat from work, but you guys can’t find a clear cell signal? I freakin love this podcast and think y’all do a great job, but in the future please try to figure out to over the phone interview issue. If you own a iPhone it’s as simple as an app and pressing the record button. I probably missed a lot of good interviews and info. I truly do love this podcast and will continue to listen.

Has potential
I made it to episode 8 and had to give up. Truthfully, I really couldn’t say what this is even about other than a young girl is missing and a lot of heresay. Tons of rambling which makes the whole study hard to follow. The music at the beginning is so annoying. The host takes on thus really weird tone in his voice when he is quoting from an article. I feel like this story has potential but the delivery is lacking.

Love it
I wish the episodes were longer, just because I love this podcast so much! I’m so glad I found it! P.S. I love Someone knows something too - David Ridgen is amazing. You are too! Five stars and high fives from the Oregon Coast.

Music & “QUOTE”
Otherwise it would be 5 stars

Good story
Gave a rate of three because the story is 15 minutes. He could have made it better being longer. Only get maybe 5 minutes of new info each time.

Slow
This could have been a much shorter podcast. Lots of repitition. Lots of rambling.

What is this??
Is it a music podcast or true crime?? Does it even know what it is?? Unsubbed.

Good stuff
Like this podcast a lot.

Great Job Brandon!
I have followed you through both seasons of SFG. I was thrilled to see the Season 1 update tonight. It doesn’t bring Cayce back, but it is a thrill to know that someone is now being held responsible. You played an absolute part in that arrest. I look forward to whatever’s coming next. Best!

Well made
This podcast really hits home for me. I was a little girl in Milan, TN when Cayce McDaniels went missing and lived in her house just a few months after her mother moved out. It's so strange to find out all of the details now as an adult. What a well done podcast.

Stop The Music
This is an interesting story. I grew up about 30 miles from Jackson, and as a child knew old hickory mall well. However, the constant music interludes do nothing to enhance the podcast. They are annoying to the point that I’m probably not going to finish this podcast. I recommend that the producer try listening to some other well produced podcast. You will learn that it is possible to transition between two speakers without playing music.

Dear Lord the music
Get to the story already. And, my god, the music. It’s repetitive. It makes me dizzy when listening with ear buds. It is too loud. It’s distracting.

Music
I listen to podcasts with ear buds. The way you have your music go in and out in each ear makes me dizzy, takes away from your talent, and it’s terrible. The music is nice, but holy crap. Also gets to be a little repetitive.

Why is the podcast not working anymore???
I was on ep 15 and it won’t play anymore 😭

Very interesting cases
I found this podcast by accident and I enjoyed season 1. Both seasons are interesting cases. The only thing that I don’t care for is the same information is told from the previous episode. For example, I’ve heard about Bethany telling her friend about her new cell phone in two or three episodes now. Again, I enjoy the podcast and I’m sure it’s not easy.

Great
Just needs less annoying music and longer episodes.
DukeFinn
Interesting cases but..
Has a few drawbacks - The episodes are extremely short and I can’t get over the shameless, constant plugs for the host’s music. About ready to throw in the towel!

Subpar
I have listened to every episode of each season of this podcast. I live in Memphis but my entire family is from Jackson and Milan(some still living there) so it was incredibly intriguing to me. Being able to picture certain areas, etc. draws me in. However, I find myself annoyed at the narrator and the amount of music interludes. They seem to have shortened some, but not much. At some points even the over dramatic deflection in his voice is obnoxious. I also prefer longer episodes. Waiting a week for a 20 minute Podcast, most of which seems to be a lot of replay info from past episodes, is becoming increasingly irritating.

Good Effort, Sloppy Delivery
I had high hopes for this podcast. Being from Gibson County and my parents knowing many of the people involved and mentioned in the podcast, I was hoping for an engaging thorough investigation. Instead what you get is Brandon basically calling everyone from Milan stuck up in the very first episode, 15 minute episodes with 4 minutes of music breaks, and very poorly edited interviews. I understand Brandon isn’t an investigative reporter (he states this several times); however the poor research on this podcast makes it seem to me that Brandon was a guy who enjoyed true crime podcasts and thought he could easily do one himself. I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts (everything from SKS to MFM), and this has to be one of the most poorly executed ones I’ve ever heard. I would love for someone like LPOTF to do some episodes on this case. They would maybe do a better job engaging people instead of letting people ramble and replying “yeah” every 2 minutes.

My New Favorite Binge
I discovered this podcast by accident and I’m glad I did! Mr. Barnett has a way of pulling one in with a mix of ambient music, compassion, and overall great storytelling. The style is not unlike that of David Ridgen, beckoning the listener into the very core of the mystery.

Very sincere
Very sincere attempt to discover what happened to a 14yr old girl from TN I. The 90's. I like that the episodes are short and easy to binge. I hope they find her.

Still Not Sure
I'm on episode 5, and I don't know about the podcast yet. I think it's an interesting story that I've not heard before. But, the narrator is clearly in over his head. He's gotten a lot of people to talk, which is good. But he inserts himself far too often, and I'm not sure I trust his intentions. Is he trying to use the disappearance to sell his music? That would be very cruel, indeed. If not, why not just tell the story of the missing girl and not inject yourself into it pretty regularly? I think if we weren't constantly reminded the narrator is a musician in Nashville and he just told the narrative, it would be a significantly better podcast.

Very well done!
This podcast is very well done and at the same time simple, easy to follow and to the point. Such a sad case. I pray this coverage will bring some answers. Instantly hooked. Keep it up Sir!

Great show!
Mysteries have always intrigued me & after hearing the first few episodes of this podcast I've been sucked in. There's so much to this story! So glad someone has taken the time to examine each bit of information in hopes to eventually unlock some new pieces to this puzzle!

Little substance, lots of guitar
I was really hopeful that this podcast would be the next serial missing persons podcast to capture my attention. I think the host is well intentioned, but he seems to lack journalistic capabilities. The shows started strong, but continue to get shorter and more vague, with very little substance or new information past the first couple of episodes. Even in a short episode, a bunch of time is eaten up with ads and guitar music interludes. I'm looking for more substance, and less guitar solo, in a podcast, so this one doesn't do it for me.

The idea is good, now where is the substance
I really want to like this podcast, but these 15-18min fluff episodes that don't get into anything are killing me. Seriously, don't rush to put out something, take your time and put together something that we can sink our teeth into. I appreciate your beautiful music, but that gets more playtime then the facts about this case! I'm going to hold on a couple more episodes and then I'm done.

Awesome!
Great show and great producer/narrator! Hopefully we'll have some answers for Cayce soon.

More talk , less music
I like the name of the podcast and glad to find someone working on another cold case with little attention. My one complaint is the amount of music. There is more music than talk. If you change that, it'll be great. Thanks

Hopeful
I lived in Gibson County when Cayce disappeared. I've often wondered what really happened. I hope this podcast will solve her disappearance. A co-worker of mine that grew up in Milan told me that her mother was one of the last people to see Cayce alive. So many unanswered questions & speculations. I listened to Up & Vanished as well & was thrilled when 2 people were convicted as a result of information from Payne Lindsey's investigation. I'm hopeful that your investigation will help solve this case. However, it would be nice to have less musical interludes. They are too long. I fast forward through them.

Great Work!
I hope you guys find a lead that breaks this case wide open!

Who is this podcast really for?
Not sure if this podcast is for the girl or the narrator trying to get you to listen to his music! The music breaks are entirely too long. Like, he just wants to listen to his song. Definitely an interesting case and I hope it helps with bringing this girl justice!

Praying for closure
I pray that this podcast helps find closure for the friends and family of Cayce. I can't wait for the next episode.

Really well done
I can't wait for the next episode. I hope that closure is found.

A light for a very long tunnel
This is so well done. Very intriguing insight of an open missing persons case. Excited to see what new developments may come of this. Share!!

Shorter Music Interludes Please
Just "constructive criticism" - Time is short - many of us stream during the commute and want your story telling skills ... maybe cut those interludes in half. There's a balance between "scene setting" with music and derailing my focus on what you're telling us.... I try scrolling to get to the next thing you're saying instead. Thanks and so far the story is intriguing !

Captivating
Sparked my interest in a case that's been cold for too long. Brandon's method of storytelling leaves you wanting to know more. I look forward to the coming episodes and pray for a resolve to this case. Thanks for doing this for Cayce's family.

Thank you
I'm immensely looking forward to all this podcast can potentially do in helping solve the case of Cayce's disappearance.

Quality and care
The thoroughness and preparation of this podcast is proven in the buildup and in the first episode. Look forward to many more episodes and info on the case. Great job Brandon!!!!

Excellent debut
This case has been a mystery to people in West Tennessee for over 20 years. It is great that someone is willing to talk about it again out in the open, with little to know help. Great start, can't wait to hear more.
