Passage:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. 10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 11 To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting and declaring that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it. 13 She who is at Babylon, who is likewise chosen, sends you greetings, and so does Mark, my son.14 Greet one another with the kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ.(1 Peter Song: Abide by Aaron Keyes and Aaron WilliamsLyrics: For my waking breathFor my daily breadI depend on YouI depend on YouFor the sun to riseFor my sleep at nightI depend on YouI depend on YouYou’re the way the truth and the lifeYou’re the well that never runs dryI’m the branch and You are the vineDraw me close and teach me to abideWhere the Spirit leadsAs I’m followingI depend on YouI depend on YouFor the victoriesStill in front of meI depend on YouI depend on YouYou’re the way the truth and the lifeYou’re the well that never runs dryI’m the branch and You are the vineDraw me close and teach me to abideBe my strength my song in the nightBe my all my treasure my prizeI am Yours forever Your mineDraw me close and teach me to abideWhen I pass through deathAs I enter restI depend on YouI depend on YouFor eternal lifeTo be raised with ChristI depend on YouI depend on YouOh would you teach meWould You teach me to abideI depend on YouI depend on YouPrayer:Most loving Father, whose will it is for us to give thanks for all things, to fear nothing but the loss of you, and to cast all our care on you who care for us: Preserve us from faithless fears and worldly anxieties, that no clouds of this mortal life may hide from us the light of that love which is immortal, and which you have manifested to us in your Son Jesus Christ our Lord; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
