This is the most personal podcast I've done to date, but definitely worthy of recording and documenting. I've managed 6 employees (with KC) at Mesa Salvaje for 3 months now and it has been just as rewarding and revealing as I had ever hoped. I recently listened to 2 podcasts on The Ezra Klein Show, one with David Wallace-Wells who laid out what our climate reality looks like, with a base case of global warming somewhere in between 2 degrees and 4 degrees by 2100, and the other with Rhiana Gunn-Wright, lead policy director for the Green New Deal. Both episodes left me feeling emotional, but with Gunn-Wright in charge of building a Green New Deal I feel a bit more positive about our capacity to at least try and address the crisis. Giving up beef not only made my diet more sustainable, it also helped me start composting. Composting itself didn't have much of an end goal, but as a positive consequence KC and I began to look at trash in an entirely new manner.  When trash is no longer this black box of foul odors, it becomes easy to investigate what trash we are generating.
