Show notes
This is the most personal podcast I've done to date, but definitely worthy of recording and documenting. I've managed 6 employees (with KC) at Mesa Salvaje for 3 months now and it has been just as rewarding and revealing as I had ever hoped. In this episode I ramble on about the 5 things I've learned to date and things I hope to improve upon:
- Employees are people too
- Coaxing people to tell you their frustrations is not easy
- Learn about myself - leading by example is hard when I am so flawed
- Even the most invested employees don't care about the business as much as you do
- Your intentions can be all well and good, but it doesn't mean employees are going to follow the script
