The story of the crucifixion ends at the darkest point for humanity. Jesus Christ, the Lord and King, is dead, crucified by the very people he came to save. And yet, the crucifixion is not the end of the story, but merely the setup for what was to come. In the conclusion of our Easter series, we look at the story of the Resurrection, the return of Jesus and the power he holds over both sin and death.

Good Friday is celebrated as the day of the death of Jesus - the darkest day in history, when the Lord and Savior of humanity was crucified for crimes he did not commit, condemned despite doing no wrong. In this first sermon of two, we will look at the events leading up to the crucifixion, as well as the people involved and why it was merely the first act of the most consequential event in human history.

The world of today is divided over many issues, and few are so prevalent - or so polarizing - as that of immigration and migration. As with most issues, few people truly understand the complexities and intricacies of the debate, and this allows for great division to appear where there likely is little.

Oftentimes, we face circumstances in our lives that force us to choose between doing the safe thing and doing the right thing. So, too, did the men and women of the Bible face these challenges. Though separated by time, culture, and position, these great people faced down the same questions as us. Today, we will look at the stories of Ruth and Esther and see how they are similar, both to each other and to our own lives.

The United States of today is in a precarious position. Growing division, increasing radicalism, and the gradual erosion of the rights of the people at the hands of the federal government. These opposing doctrines have long created tension and borne animosity, but now they threaten to spill over into full-scale war within the United States.

Whenver our lives become challenging, darkness and despair seek to overwhelm us and steal from us our hope and our will to fight. But no matter how hard our lives become, no matter how hopeless it seems, we must remember that our faith can preserve us and that the faithfulness of the LORD is unwavering.

History is not simply a series of events, but is rather a guide for the future. What happened once will happen again, and patterns repeat. Likewise, the rights of man are not granted, but rather simply exist as natural rights for all men. Today, we will look at the cycle of empires and at the natural rights of all men.

The Bible teaches us many virtues- but greater are the sins we must avoid. Today, we will look at the first of the Seven Deadly Sins as well as the first of the Fruits of the Spirit, and look at what the Bible tells us about loving others and the dire warnings against lust.

Today's rulers are a far cry from the gifted and radiant men and women of the past. What changed? How has democracy failed us so? And what can we do to reverse the trend?

The first sermon. Diving into the stories of Esther, Paul and John, and Stephen. How does one's faith give them courage to do the impossible, to speak up when ordered silent, even to die for what they believe in?
