Jaewon and I are co-workers at the UW, and when I announced that I was creating a podcast, Jaewon volunteered to speak about her perspective on mental health, specifically, how being bicultural has influenced her mental health perspective. Join us as we learn about Jaewon's story.

In this episode, we get to learn about OCD from Ashley, a therapist who often works with OCD patients and Anna, who has OCD. Before this conversation, I'd only briefly learned about OCD in my psychology classes at University, and I knew so little about what it's actually like to have it. Luckily, Ashley, Anna and I are all co-workers at the University of Washington, and both of them volunteered to talk on my show. If you have OCD, make sure you share your perspective with us by commenting on the blog post linked to this episode.

I sat down with Ashley Kaylor, a blogger from South Carolina to talk about her experience growing up and going to school where there was a lot of toxic masculinity. Ashley is a mental health advocate who focuses on dismantling stigma by sharing her personal experiences with major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. On this episode, Ashley and I discuss some of the hardships she faced when she was growing up, and how these now impact her life, including her marriage and the way she raises her kids. Read the blog post for more on Ashley's story.
