Lucy Morten is a qualified social worker with experience in the fields of mental health and addictions. She also has her personal mental health journey (discussed with me in part one). This episode we talk about Lucy's research. Her thesis is on ‘Women with bipolar and the experiences (we) have in the New Zealand psychiatric system.’

This is my story. In my early thirties with a baby and two year old I faced very difficult circumstances that brought on a bipolar episode. This was marked by a psychosis, depression, as well as anxiety. In this first podcast episode I share about my experience that included hospital care with my baby. I go on to describe the activities I participated in that helped me make a very good recovery.  My story is told through a conversation with my close friend Bron Tait who journeyed with me. (We are the two Bronnies). Bron has expertise in the areas of mental health, both as a nurse and pastor. I so appreciate her wisdom and insights shared.
