As children we had imagination that built magical worlds. We believed that the impossible was possible. That what our mind could imagine, we could create.
We still have that ability to create magical worlds, only our beliefs have narrowed in our vision, and told us (falsely) what is possible and what is not.
All manifestation is, is imagination tied in with feeling. The vision of the mind married to the feeling in the body, is what sends a signal out into the quantum field.
But what’s required to imagine, is to return to our authenticity—which is really just coming home and remembering who we truly are beyond this form and this life.
We’re not learning anything new here, we’re simply remembering what we’ve forgotten. And all the challenges, all the struggles and the dark nights of the soul, are portals to going deeper within us, where we remember who we’ve always been and our immense power to create worlds beyond even our imagination.

It’s interesting how when our mood changes and we’re not our “ordinary” bouncy self, people use the term: “what’s wrong?”
Maybe there’s nothing wrong at all. Maybe that’s just a poor perception of being that judges and deems certain states as good and others bad.
The sea ebbs and flows. Its tides change. Sometimes it is serene and sometimes it is wild. But does it judge itself for changing? No. So why should we?
The tides of our lives, of our inner being most especially, will ebb and flow. They will change. It’s ok. There’s nothing wrong.
Our job is to remain present. To listen. To be with. To trust that everything in our life, is happening for us not to or against us.
When we fall into that state of trust, we fall into flow because we’re no longer resisting or fighting against our experience.
But it takes a reframe. It takes letting go of judgment. It takes being aware of how we’re perceiving life and being human.
If you don’t see it as “wrong,” it won’t be. If you see it as something that is here to show you something, give you time to process, review, release something, then anytime the tide changes, you won’t panic and feel like something has gone wrong, you’ll trust it and allow it to guide you into your continued growth.
It’s simple but we’re kicking a hard habit of old ways of being that have kept us small, fearful and in judgment.
Be kind, be patient with yourself. We’re all unlearning and re-learning…or remembering, is more like it.

There are two ends of the spectrum that keep us from embracing our humanity.
One is what society barks down your throat: that you’re flawed and imperfect and not good enough and perhaps even bad, wrong or sinful.
The other end of the spectrum is the uber spiritual that tells you, you should be holy, better than human, saintly and enlightened.
Both neglect the beauty of actually being human.
Being human is the unique point between the earthly and the heavenly. It is the trunk of the tree, where the roots dig deep into earthly soil and the branches reach towards the stars. We get to be the vessel in-between. The horizon between day and night, between earth and sky.
We experience most suffering when we think we should be something different than we are. Somehow more holy, more pure, better than what we’re feeling now as humans.
But I believe that when we think of reaching “enlightenment” (which I’m personally not a fan of the word), what we’re really seeking is peace. And peace can only come via the full acceptance, embracing and loving of our human selves.
We’re not here to transcend. We’re here to grow through this incredibly textured experience of being human.
So what if you were to drop all the old beliefs and constructs of how being human is sinful, and instead, believed that you were and are, beautifully and perfectly designed to be exactly the way you are.
Sure, we can grow through awareness. We can make the unconscious, conscious. We can change patterns and evolve behaviours. But never from the perspective that we’re not good enough and need to become saintly, but from the view that this is the school of life and we get to explore, discover and evolve our soul through the vehicle of being human.
We’re unraveling the old so that we can grow into the new. Which is really just a homecoming; remembering who we truly are.

We’ve been taught to look at life primarily from a place of logic and rationality. Our society heavily leans towards the left brain at the expense of being disconnected from our right brain and all the abilities and capacities that come with it.
What this has done is brought us into a place of limitation. We think of what is logical and therefore what we deem possible, and have forgotten the mystery and magic of the unknown, of vision, imagination, knowing, intuition and the faith and absolute knowing that magic actually does exist.
But magic happens in the flow of life. In the trusting of and in the unseen. We have to filter through our limiting beliefs, take on the discipline to move beyond our habits and come into an inner space within us that we find is a source of all creation.
It’s a beautiful journey of discovery, though sometimes challenging as we untie old knots that have kept us small and limited. But in the unwinding of the old, we find a new breath of inspiration, magic and awe for life.

How we approach life is a matter of perspective. Do we want to heal and take full ownership of our human experience and mature into spiritual adults? Or do we believe we are a problem that needs fixing and look to some greater authority to fix it for us, keeping us as spiritual children?
What happens when we own our full selves without judgment? When we stay with the discomfort and trust that life is happening for us not to us?
When we recognise that to heal is to be with ourselves in full loving presence, we relax, we fall into greater flow and it’s then, that life gets magical.

I came across a quote by a man called Cory Muscara that, for me, beautifully depicts the process of moving through our shadow in order to reach our liberation.
If you know anything about the way that I work and live my life, you know that I don’t shy away from the shadow. The shadow to me is the way through and to, our liberation, joy, bliss and ultimately, peace.
The quote goes:
“You won’t find inner peace by focusing on the positive. Inner peace isn’t a mindset shift. It’s the result of meeting yourself deeply, honestly, and in all of your shame, until there’s nothing left to hide and no more reasons to run.”
This is how we sit in and with our shadow. We feel. We be with. We stay and then stay some more, until our own presence and love alchemises the pain and suffering and turns it into relief, love and peace.
A false positivity means we are forever skirting our experience and therefore, you could say, our truth. False positivity is something we have to keep up with, forever leaning forwards and running ahead of ourselves, lest the dark figure in the night—the shadow—catch up with us.
You don’t need to work hard on being positive. If you sit with your experience and stay, not abandoning, neglecting or bypassing, you will naturally come into a place of relief, relaxation and gratitude. Gratitude will be genuine and organic because it’s already there within us, when we drop into the awe of life and its magic. But that genuine gratitude and “positivity,” if we want to use that term, cannot arise unless and until we’ve sat with our human experience.
It might be uncomfortable in the moment, but I can tell you from my personal experience, that moving through it to the other side, once we’ve melted down the hardness of the rock around the diamond, is truly an awe evoking experience that will leave you with such an appreciation not only for the beauty that comes into your life, but the hardship it took to get you there. By moving through, we come out the other side and see that there is beauty in all things.

We’re going through huge evolutionary shifts and I believe we’re being invited, if not sometimes lovingly forced, to live in the present moment.
The old way of projecting into the future as if it were a linear straight shot, doesn’t seem to work anymore. I’m not sure it ever did but we were certainly made to believe that’s how we should see life.
So some of us might be experiencing not knowing what’s next. Not having all the ducks in a row. Not having life be predictable and in control. Many of us are experiencing the opposite. But in that, we’re learning the art of letting go, having radical trust and radical faith and seeing that when we let go and trust fall into the arms of faith, miracles appear.
But part of present moment living will bring us face to face with our ego that is familiar with wanting to control the direction and outcome of our life, and that when under stress, gets triggered into survival mode. So how do we offer love even to our ego which so often gets a bad rap? To not vilify it but utilise it to its greatest, most constructive potential, and place it into a harmonious partnership with our soul?

It’s hard to wait for anything, let alone love. We can oscillate from fully enjoying our lives on our own to falling into great impatience, frustration and even despair that what we’re wanting, is just not showing up…yet.
What can we do in the emotional stew of it all?
Well, as with everything, it’s how we ‘be with’ our experience that either makes the journey a struggle or more fluid. Our beliefs and perspective too, have a great influence not only on our outlook but our present moment experience as we “wait.”
Love, attachment, co-dependency, all get triggered in the process of waiting for love. It takes doing the inner work, facing our shadow and our wounds from childhood, showing up with compassion and choosing how we want to perceive our present experience as we move towards the future we want to manifest.
In this episode I talk about the very real and human experience of waiting, all the emotions and beliefs that can come up along the way and how to keep our eye on the higher path, if you will.

We’re shifting out of the paradigm of fear and moving into one of faith. But faith isn’t a controlled execution. We don’t say we’re taking a leap of faith and then announce our strategy to get there as if it were some mathematical equation with a particular answer. It’s a leap of faith because we’re stepping, leaping, into an unknown.
When we let go of trying to control life, others, ourselves—and trust, that actually by letting go we’re tuning into our own gps system, our own guidance system that is led by our soul, The Creator Of All That Is, you name it—we’re tuning in, and and harmonising with, that which is always leading and guiding us if we just allow it.
So the question no longer is one of who or what is in control? But rather, am I in harmony, and in partnership with, that which is guiding me? In the letting go of control we realise that letting go doesn’t mean we’re out of control. It actually means we’re in a far greater sense of true safety, because we’re allowing ourselves to be held by the unknown, and the magic that exists within that space, which we’re learning to take a leap of faith into.
From that place we get to live authentically because all of a sudden we’re understanding the entire macro context that we’re existing in. Then we understand the seed of who we are in the midst of the vastness of it all.
It sounds far out, perhaps, but it’s all a process of curiosity, exploration and discovery. And in that process there is relief, magic and a knowing that we are threaded into and held by a web of life that connects us all. When we feel held, there is not need for control because there is nothing to fear.

We are in a partnership with our spiritual being and our human being, looking to find collaboration, harmony and learning between both. I think spirituality often gets misconstrued for being a path that has to overcome our humanity—as if our human was something bad or wrong or something to transcend because it isn’t “spiritual—but I believe our humanity is the vehicle for our spiritual growth.
There’s a reason we chose to be human and therefore there is a purpose for our human traits. Our emotions, feelings, wounds, shadows and gifts; they are all teachers.
If we want to spiritually grow and evolve, we have to walk hand in hand with our humanity as equals. Two aspects that need each other to learn and grow. Our human self needs the inspiration, guidance and expansiveness of our spiritual being in order to grow and evolve. Our spiritual being equally needs our human self to grow and evolve through the arc of human emotion, struggle, suffering, vulnerability and so much more.
To spiritually bypass is to forget and leave behind (or worse, neglect and push away) our humanity. But we will not spiritually evolve if we don’t embody our humanity.
We are letting go of old paradigms of thinking and perceiving. There is nothing wrong or bad about your humanity. There is nothing evil about your emotions. You are not broken and you don’t need to be fixed. You are already whole, both between your divinity and your humanity coming together. All the pieces that feel fragmented but are not in fact broken, get to come together through the embracement of your entire self; both spiritual and human.
A great gift of being human is the ability to alchemise and through alchemy, our soul gets to evolve. This is a partnership not a competition. There is no better or worse, only equal, only companions walking this path of growth together, side by side, one within the other.
So the invitation is to know that you are both. To love both, equally. To take both and learn and teach the other through the unique wisdom of both the spiritual and human perspective. Knowing of course, that all is One. All is interconnected. All is a vehicle and catalyst for growth, expansion and the evolution of consciousness itself.
