Goodbye, Saturday Night's Main Event. Welcome, Sunday Night's Main Event. For the first time in its four-decade history, the iconic professional wrestling series moves to Sunday, emanating from Atlanta. Cody Rhodes, a superstar with multi-generational ties to the city, headlines the card. Rhodes takes on his WrestleMania rival Randy Orton in a rematch months in the making. Orton delivered a devastating punt to Rhodes to end their match and Rhodes has been keen on getting his lick back ever since. Orton recently made his return to WWE TV and nearly delivered a similar blow to the one he did in the WrestleMania leadup where Rhodes head was placed on the ring steps and Orton smacked it with a chair. This time, authorities intervened in time.Perhaps the biggest match on Sunday, though, sees a pair of rising stars square off as Bron Breakker faces Oba Femi. Breakker has been tunnel-vision focused on Femi since seeing his mentor, Paul Heyman, approve of Femi's action at SummerSlam where Femi bested Brock Lesnar. Breakker is worried he is losing his mentor to another superstar and wants to prove himself again on Sunday.

Champions Bayern Munich picked up where they left off when routing Stuttgart 5-1 in the Bundesliga’s curtain-raiser, with the biggest worry for the rest of the league surely being that they did that without Harry Kane scoring. Even more terrifying is that the England captain has since found his feet, netting a brace in a similarly dominant 4-1 victory over Osnabruck in the German Cup. Vincent Kompany’s Bavarians are simply irresistible when at their best and that is bad news for Schalke, who could really do with a win after marking their Bundesliga return with a 3-0 defeat at Augsburg.Ordinarily, a return to a home fortress where they are unbeaten in 14 games would provide a boost. However, a clash with Bayern is like no other on any German team’s calendar. The Bavarians have scored 226 goals in 69 Bundesliga games under Kompany’s stewardship and with Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Diaz in frightening form, Schalke look set for another heavy defeat. Bayern have won four of their last five games by at least three goals – the exception being in the Super Cup against Schalke’s rivals Borussia Dortmund

eyes will be on Carlos Alcaraz as he returns from a wrist injury that has kept him sidelined since Barcelona in April and despite his absence he is a warm favourite to successfully defend his Flushing Meadows crown.Alcaraz's fiercest rival and the man he defeated in last year's final, Jannik Sinner, remains out but there are still plenty of dangers to the Spaniard with French Open hero Alexander Zverev and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic seen as the two most likely to dethrone him by the bookmakers.

The Bundesliga is one of the best leagues to bet on when it comes to individual matches but probably the worst in terms of an outright for the season - when we consider how few markets there are available, compared to some of the other top European leagues. You've only got a handful to go at and two of those have a clear favourite unlikely to be beaten. Bayern Munich are as short as 1/10 in places to lift yet another Bundesliga title, with star striker Harry Kane in at 2/5 with the those bookies who are offering a top goalscorer market.Billi does what he can with what he has on offer, breaking down all of the available futures markets, before moving into to covering selected games from Matchday 1. Bayern Munich kick off the season tonight at home to Stuttgart. Bayern won the Bundesliga by 16 points last season, scoring a whopping 122 goals in their 34 matches, and Vincent Kompany’s side are unlikely to take their foot off the gas as they chase glory at home and abroad. They have already beaten Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the German Super Cup, but opening league opponents Stuttgart will be encouraged by the fact the champions kept just four clean sheets in their final 19 Bundesliga games last term.

Billi previews the 2026/27 La Liga Season, looking at the Outright Winner, Top Goal Scorer and Winner Without Barcelona and Real Madrid markets. Florentino Pérez pressed the Special One button again after two straight trophyless seasons at Real, however, its Lamine Yamal and co who remain the title favourites.Plenty has changed since José Mourinho was last appointed Real Madrid manager, but a lot has also not changed. Before his first game in charge in 2010, Spain had just become world champions, their extra-time winner in the final scored by a Barcelona player after their opponents, who had been reduced to 10 men, had tried to kick them off the park. Like then, Mourinho’s task is to take down a Barcelona team that have won two La Liga titles in succession. And like then, he has a host of world-class talent at his disposal.Note, unlike Europe’s other major leagues, La Liga is staggering the start of its new season. Owing to their players’ involvement in the later stages of the extended World Cup, none of Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético are in action on the opening weekend.

It seems surreal that McGregor is actually just hours away from making the walk to the octagon considering the events of the past five years. McGregor’s activity had already fallen off a cliff for various reasons by the time he fought Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021—just McGregor’s fifth fight since 2016 (including a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather)—but the broken leg he suffered that loss signaled the start of a seemingly interminable layoff that had no shortage of diversions.Fast forward to the now, and somehow, McGregor has returned. He takes on a familiar face, Max Holloway, who lost to a pre-fame McGregor back in 2013 when the two were budding featherweights with their whole lives ahead of them. Thirteen years later, both fighters have piled up championships, and packed on a few pounds for their rematch at welterweight. Saturday’s main event is the second-to-last fight on McGregor’s current contract. Win or lose, it’s anyone’s guess what he decides to do for his UFC swan song, not to mention his plans for unrestricted free agency (though a BKFC fight is all but guaranteed).
