This is a great podcast with a lot of good info that spoke directly to me and my current freelance struggles. I love the segmentation and story telling vibe that Alex, the host gives! Great work!

In sea of similarity, Alex has expertly differentiated himself from those around him. Sure, there are plenty of self-help podcasts, but Alex uses real world experience and bevy of connections to apply lessons learned to every day life. The best part is the rebranding from "Wits About You" to "The Project Book." As he says in his introduction, what defines us, seperates us, is not what we do from 9-to-5, but what we do from 5-to-9. Alex is a shining example of this motto. Keep up the execellent work.

This is a great podcast even though the intro makes me want to turn it off every time. "Grown-ups lied to us"? Please. How old are we? I never knew a grown-up who said *simply* education was enough, although it was very highly valued. And even if they did, do you really think they lied? -like they were thinking "HaHA, I'll trick him into getting good grades but then he'll be unsuccessful, muwahaha!" And then when you graduated and had trouble finding work, they were like, "Yes! My evil plan is complete!" Maybe if someone told you that, they were just mistaken about what is needed in the changing society and economy. This may seem trivial, but I think it's important not to always see difficulty in life as evidence that someone wronged us (on purpose). Being able to see the world from other's perspectives (even if they're wrong, and even if they're our, like, super lame parents) is necessary to success in this complicated world. Anyway, when I think back to high school and early college, I remember that my friends often weren't really listening to their parents' advice... The self-sufficiency, problem solving, and critical thinking (which is basically what this podcast is about) was all taught- it was just ignored. Either way, we're not children; we should stop blaming "grown-ups" and solve our own problems like the creative geniuses we are.

Alex is a terrific interviewer. Very well-researched, considerate and thoughtful. I highly recommend his show.

Wits About You is an excellent podcast. The show's host Alex seamlessly mixes fascinating topics and relevant interviews to really drive his point home. Think NPR with a spin. Each episode a new journey in learning life's little intricacies and how to tackle or make them work for you rather than against you. I'm three episodes in and there's no signs of stopping!

What a great show! So glad I gave it a listen! Not only is it informative and inspirational, but it reaches you on a deeper personal level, which I think is mostly because the host Alex has a wonderful rapport with his audience and the guests on his show. This is not one to be missed! I have subscribed and will be listening to every episode!

First, great sound quality and production. You can see that care goes into the show. Alex has assembled a varied and interesting group of contributors and puts their advice in a context and setting that is a pleasure to listen to and makes the information easy to assimilate. A good listen whether you're just starting a creative endeavor or you've been making your own way for a while and could use some re-energizing.

Short but informative episodes that cover topics related to career and goals. I'd be lying if I said this is a waste of 15 minutes. I love the production too. The narrator in between the interviewee

In episode 1 Alex brings two guests on to talk about the creative process. He composes it in a very CREATIVE way. Although I am not a shoe designer nor a novelist (like his guests) I learned a lot about the creative process that I can apply to the work I do.

Alex has managed to pack in so much value from his guests into easily consumable episodes. I love the way he connects creatives and art to the business and marketing worlds. A show that shows you how to succeed in a world where your technical skills need to be matched with your soft skills and ability to relate to different people and situations. Alex has a really great way of laying out valuable content in a fun and digestible way. Finding your obi wan kenobi is so good in Episode 3! Can’t wait to see what else he comes out with.

I love the different perspective that Alex has in the Wits About You podcast. I wish that I would have had his advise on the "touchy feely" stuff that no one ever told me about when I was younger. His style is different than I've heard before, he stops and narrates which keeps it interesting. This is a perfect podcast for young people who are starting their careers and want to get ahead.
