I learned about the pod a few months back via some posts/screenshots in the wild. I hadn’t gotten around to listening too much, though I knew I would love the concept given the potential for discussion, and this strange, criminally under-explored internet phenomenon. On first listen, the consistent high energy and extended riffs were great, but sometimes it was hard to follow exactly what was being discussed, so I didn’t give you all as much attention as I probably should have. Today, I turned on the most recent episode to be greeted by a cold open of a Smogon thread involving the most awful Day 1 Hitler/Wehrmacht apologia I’ve ever heard. You’ve got me. This is the podcast for me, and I am looking forward to more discussion of the worst (“controversial”) posts of all time.
