21. You're Not Crazy: How to Find Answers When You're Not Getting the Medical Care You Need

I get it. Doctors are overworked and have a limited amount of time to spend with you. They put your test results in your medical record and that's it. You're still feeling awful even though they've moved on. Then you think, "I know it's not all in my head", but there doesn't seem to be any other explanation.  Usually by this point, you've seen dozens of doctors with confusing lab results barely within range. Well, today I'm so excited to have Matt Irwin, an NHL hockey player who has played for teams like the Nashville Predators, the San Jose Sharks, and is currently playing for the Vancouver Canucks, join us today on the podcast to share his journey. Matt Irwin never thought he would make it to the NHL. He grew up in a small town in British Columbia, and didn't come from a hockey family. But he had a dream, and he was willing to work hard to achieve it. Matt started playing hockey as a child. He quickly fell in love with the sport and dedicated himself to improving. He played minor hockey, junior hockey, and college hockey before signing his first professional contract with the Boston Bruins in 2010. Matt's journey to the NHL was not easy. He faced many challenges along the way, including injuries and setbacks. But he never gave up on his dream. He worked hard, stayed focused, and never lost sight of his goals. In order to be a professional athlete, you need to be willing to work hard. There is no easy way to the top. You need to be dedicated to your craft, and you need to be willing to put in the long hours. Matt is an excellent example of someone who works hard to achieve their goals. He has dedicated his life to hockey, and he has never taken his foot off the gas. He is a true inspiration to anyone who dreams of professional sports. In addition to hard work and dedication, you also need to be mentally tough in order to be a professional athlete. You need to be able to handle the pressure, the setbacks, and the criticism. He has faced many challenges throughout his career. He has been injured, cut from teams, and criticized by coaches and fans. But he bounced back. He is mentally tough, and he never gives up. Matt's Advice to Aspiring Athletes If you dream of becoming a professional athlete here is some advice for you: Work hard and never give up on your dreams. 17. Guide to Breathing Into Your Butthole: How to Release Tension

It's a real head-scratcher for many of you out there. But fear not, I've got you covered. This game-changing exercise will help you break out of tension.      Let's get started. Find a comfortable spot, feet on the floor, and let's begin by inhaling through your nose. Pay attention to how your body feels. Do you sense pressure in your chest? Is anything happening in your belly? We're going to work on expanding the lower stomach, back, and sides. And hey, do you even feel your butt when you breathe? Don't worry; most folks are disconnected at first, just like I was.   Now, get a pillow for some support and place your hands around your waist in a circle. Inhale through your nose, imagining a balloon expanding in your lower stomach. Exhale through your nose and relax. Repeat this a few times, feeling the expansion with each breath.   Now, here's the magic part. I want you to focus on those butt bones sitting on the chair. Are they saying hello? Shift your butt around, get the feeling going. Then, as you inhale, think of breathing down into those butt bones or, yes, your butthole. It's not as awkward as it sounds! You should feel a slight stretch or movement, not like you're gonna fart or strain to use the restroom. Trust me; it's all about that subtle sensation.   To help you connect even better, try cupping your butt bones with your hands, inhaling into your fingers, and exhaling as you relax. Bingo! That's what we mean by breathing into your butthole. You're doing great!   I promise you, doing this exercise regularly will bring you immediate relief and relaxation. You can activate it with cold plunges, saunas, stretching, slow movements, massages, and even singing and gargling. Do you know what's most important and effective? Breathing. Many people try to relax in unhealthy ways. Whether it's a glass of wine, comfort food, or numbing out through various means. Everybody has a go-to way of relaxing, but you can do it better. Movement is one of the key solutions. Moving your body releases endorphins, which give you a natural high and improve your overall well-being. This is like giving your joints the oil they need to stay healthy and prevent injuries. I learned this the hard way. Intensive workouts led to hormonal imbalances and adrenal fatigue. That was a wake-up call for me, and now I advocate for a balanced approach to exercise. Workouts don't have to be hard to be effective.
