Relatable & Fun!
I started listening to MIF after hearing Jessie on the One Part Podcast with Jessica Murnane and dove right into the archive! I've since caught up (and gotten married) and find this show both inspiring and relatable! I feel like I'm hanging out and having a good time with friends when I listen, and often catch myself responding or commenting out loud to their conversations. Some episodes teach new things, like tips on communicating, and others help me realize that we may have more figured out than we thought! I love the motto of aspiring for great love, not perfect love, and definitely plan to share with a few of my married friends who, if they're into podcasts, will hopefully enjoy MIF as much as I do!

Young Marriage
I found this podcast while searching for a better way to cope with all the new aspects of being married. My husband and I have been married for a year now and are still trying to learn how to better handle all the difficult situations. Having gotten married at 21 comes with a lot of questions on how to be a great partner. But I can definitely say that these podcast make learning so much more fun! I can’t help but smile when I am listening to them, even if it’s a tough topic. Love it !!!!! ❤️

SO great!!!
This podcast is s good! Definitely a listener even if you're not married- but are engaged or dating! I loved the episode titled "every couple needs a jackass" it was so relatable... Also loved the one "don't show up you anniversary empty-handed!" So vulnerable and so raw, which is when I realized that J is me, and my fiance is G!!! I'm hooked to say the least <3

Don’t sweat the small stuff- it’s all small stuff
Just started listening to this podcast, and was able to enjoy a few episodes with my husband on a long trip. It made for an easy way to talk about some awkward or difficult topics. I am grateful for the Peppers’ willingness to share their conversations with the rest of us to model constructive conversation- some of us need it! I also appreciate how a seemingly simple discussion about a broken table and what should we do with it turns into an intimate conversation about spirituality! I think it’s awfully nice of them to muddle through in public for our benefit. Thanks guys!

Uncomplicate Complicated with Funny
There’s a lesson in these conversations, I love taking wisdom from someone’s journey in life and relationships then incorporating in mine. The Peppers are pretty wide open talking through some tough subjects and show us the power in working through them with love, listening, and a touch of funny. Episode 92 Legit Yo! Quincy Moran

Awesome podcast!
I love this podcast, it is so sad when they are in between seasons (although they Gerard and Jessie deserve a break). I do miss them though

Thank you Peppers
My significant other and I began dating at a very young age just like the Peppers and their stories and advice provides me with so much perspective on our relationship!! They have truly provided me with moments for introspection and mindfulness, not only when I’m listening but, when I’m mid conversation (or argument) with my significant other. They have truly helped me become a far better partner and taught me that great love is the best thing we can give our loved ones!

I can’t listen to her
I just listened to her nag him for an hour. So whiny, so demanding, so condescending, so unbearable. It seemed that he was gently trying to explain something to her and she would immediately get defensive and rude. I had to stop listening because of her. I couldn’t take it and she wasn’t even nagging me.

Really fun, relevant and informative
I love that this show is kind of like listening in on conversations that you yourself might have with your partner or spouse. It’s helped me learn how to communicate better, and I feel like it’s making me a better partner. Thanks guys!

New from Kansas!
Wow so i just started listening to your podcast last week and wow I’m hooked. My husband and I are a lil over a year into our marriage but we’ve been together for over 5 years and even though we started our marriage later I can still relate to what you guys talk about especially when you said you can still grow together! Another thing I loved that you said earlier in your podcast is you guys got married for it all through sickness and in health and i love that! Being a “product” of divorced parents that has been the main thing in life i want to ignore and I wanna try and get my husband into this so maybe it can spark more conversations! Luh-luh-love your podcast!

Game Changer
This podcast came into my life at the precise moment it was meant too. My husband and I were/are struggling. Not just the normal marriage issues, but some truly heavy emotional issues that I personally never thought that I would be equipped to handle. Listening to Gerard and Jessie and they way that they communicate with each other inspired me to be able to do the same. The laughs, the hot sauce, the armoir, all of these episodes have made such a difference in my marriage that instead of letting go, I am holding on with the tightest bear hug I can muster. 5 stars for relatability, 5 stars for encouragement, 5 stars for the modeling of communication. My commute to and from work is forever changed, thank you Mr. and Mrs. Pepper. (Sidebar: Instead of pineapple in the hot sauce perhaps a mango/habenero?)

Disappointing
At first I liked the podcast, thought it was funny and interesting to listen to other perspectives especially around relationship issues/challenges. However, the last several episodes I was turned off. It seemed like there was a lot of whining and unnecessary crying about things like having to go to the Apple store. There are people in this world that have real problems and to hear someone get moved to tears over getting a computer fixed makes me feel like the hosts are entitled and spoiled.

My Travel Partners
I found Jessie and Gerard early this year and started listening whenever I travel, which is worldwide and frequently. I reached the end the previous season about 2 days before I had a long trip. I was in serious withdrawal, the advice is great and the way the two of them share their hearts is something That has helped me in my relationship with my wife of 20 years and 7 children. I highly recommend this pod cast. Now sitting here in my room in Cairo, I am going to go listen to episode 79 of Two people I have never met but are an integral part Of my life!

The Real Deal
Gerard and Jessie are the real deal. I’m amazed at their honest conversations about marriage and life over the airwaves. I’m encouraged to be vulnerable in my own relationships as they model this every week. I love this podcast and the community that goes along with it. You don’t have to be married to enjoy listening along!

I listen to many podcasts, but this one has to be one of my favorites! It makes me laugh, and it makes me think! Gerard and Jessie are so good at being vulnerable, and giving great advice for great love! Single, engaged, newlywed, or married for 50 years you will love this one!

Goofy and Relatable

Marriage is so freaking funny, y’all.
Here I am, after years of listening, finally writing a review for the podcast I love and has taught me so much. Jessie and Gerard are brutally honest about what it actually means to be in a marriage (spoiler alert: it’s not like the movies!) and share their hearts in this outstanding podcast. I always hear something I can relate to in each episode, some things more than others, and am able to take away some kind of advice I can apply to not only my marriage, but to the way I communicate with co-workers, friends, and even family. The Peppers make me feel like marriage is so freaking funny and that my partner and I are not alone when it comes to certain conflicts. Marriage really is Funny, guys. And The Peppers are here to help you see it, too!

Raw and relatable
This week’s episode was the first one I’d listened to and I’m glad it was. They went rogue and discussed something very relatable to many people’s life especially mine. My husband and I do our best to discuss how his work load affects our quality time and it’s not always an easy conversation. This hit close to home and helped remind me that we’re not alone. Thank you for sharing!

Gain 2 more friends INSTANTLY!
This podcast is great and it's one that I love seeing download in my feed every week. I found it at the beginning of their second season, and have been listening ever since. Jessie and Gerard have taken some comedy classes and enjoy laughing, which allows the tone of the show to be encouraging even in the midst of some pretty down-to-earth reality topics. They tell great stories, share wonderful tips and constantly encourage better conversation in relationships - you don't have to be married to enjoy this podcast! A secret to a great marriage is being a great communicator, and that is exactly what Jessie and Gerard MODEL for their audience every week . They consistently have funny stories to put real examples to prove and/or test their theories and the blooper reel at the end of each episode keeps you connected all the way to the last minute. Well done, Peppers! Thanks for doing the hard work of communicating deep issues in a public sphere so we can all learn from your example!

Words Do Not Explain!
I. Love. This. Show. I discovered this show completely by accident and was heartbroken because I thought it was over. However, I quickly realized that it was just between seasons! And thus began my quest to binge-listen to all 70 episodes before it returned! It's 1.5 months into the binge and I'm on episode 50. I don't think I'll beat the Peppers but I do know that I'll catch up soon. I absolutely love this show and how absolutely real Jessie and Gerard are. It feels like couples counseling for my boyfriend and myself. I've found myself speaking to him more deliberately and mindfully, thanks to the lessons I've learned. Can't wait until the new season is released!

Inspirational and entertaining
I love your show, I feel like my fiancé and I are each a combination of you both. So definitely have a lot of similar feelings and I benefit from hearing how you work through your stuff because it helps me with mine. I wanted to touch on episode 33 and to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing it. I actually suffer from similar symptoms to what you described and hearing how you worked through your feelings about them make me get emotional every time I hear it. It’s as if you’re pulling my own words right out of my mind. I’m constantly struggling with doctors and diets and how to make people around me understand, while not really understanding myself. I was able to really articulate my struggle with my fiancé and family after this episode. I haven’t gotten a diagnosis that explains any of what I’m going though but we have figured some things out in our journey to find the answer. Sometimes it’s just so overwhelming, so I wanted you to know you’re incredibly brave for sharing that with us and I’m so thankful that you did.

Marriage really IS funny
I am so obsessed with this Podcast. I found it a few months ago, so I’m still catching up...but I love it! I even got my husband on board. We are a husband/wife wedding planning duo with a 2yr old & a 1yr old. Needles to say, we love the constant reminder of shooting for great love instead of perfect love. Life is tough, marriage is tough...but this podcast is a great reminder that we aren’t alone in this journey.

Wine is like marriage, sometimes it’s sweet, sometimes it’s bitter, but it gets better with time. Very relatable content with a fresh viewpoint, and insightful coping mechanisms. 😁

Thank you
Ashamed to admit this but I had no idea what a podcast was til my niece told me to try one, after I complained to her about being stuck in LA traffic everyday! I somehow stumbled upon Marriage is funny and what a way to start my journey into the world of podcasts. I adore you two! But you both drive me nuts at the same time because you two remind me of my husband and I. From Gerard eating Jack in the box and Jessie’s delicate tummy to grocery shopping being Jessie’s happy place and Gerard needing physical contact to feel more connected to Jessie.....just all too familiar! But listening to you two has helped so much in our 17 year relationship & 8 year marriage. I get home and discuss episodes with my husband and then find myself apologizing for things I realized I’ve said or done wrong from listening to your podcast. Great Love is what we have always strived for and here we are now with two babies and still trying to figure it all out. Thank you for allowing me to go along on your journey! Virtual Bear hugs headed your way!

Funny, relatable, and my new BFFs
The Peppers are my spirit animal. It’s like a sneak peak into the relationship of two people who I truly admire, but also desperately want to hang out with any chance I can get. It is so refreshing to hear these two communicate with such honesty and kindness. They inspire me to be a better wife, but they also just make me laugh on my drive to work every morning. This is my favorite, go-to podcast and would recommend it to just about anyone.

Funny and honest!
I have been soaking up this podcast on my drive to and from work for a couple weeks now and while I am not quite caught up, I can honestly say that I am in love! I appreciate how raw and open Jessie and Gerard are. It's so refreshing! I am so uncomfortable with conflict, which can be unhealthy for my marriage, but this podcast shows that while the conflict can be initially unpleasant, the reward of talking things out is SO much better than keeping it all in and letting it fester. Thank you for opening up your lives to us a little each week. It is very much appreciated!

Equal parts comforting and inspiring!
I've been meaning to leave a review for a long time, but hearing how vulnerable Jessie and Gerard were in episode 56 and 56.5 made me finally pause at the end of my commute to type something out. I truly appreciate the honesty and openness of these two as they have real life conversations on the air. I can always see so much of myself and my relationship in their discussions. Things I used to think were unique dilemmas just to us I don't feel alone in anymore. It is so refreshing to take a peek behind the curtain to see how another couple figures out the hard stuff since things often look so perfect from the outside. Thank you to Jessie and Gerard for all of the effort and vulnerability hangovers that go into this podcast! I know I am a better partner in my own relationship because of it.

Cultivating great love and hope!
As an American that came from a single parent home, I never thought I'd get married. But then I found great love. And now I worry about losing it sometimes. But listening to Jessie and Gerard talk so honestly and openly has been so helpful! Not only is it inspirational for cultivating great love, but it's super entertaining. I love the music and the overall way they edit the show too.

Thank You For Being So Awesome
First, I'd just like to say that I've listened to this podcast from the very beginning (all of the episodes) & have been meaning to leave a review for some time (seriously, I think about it when I'm driving to and from work), but life always gets in the way. It just so happens that listening to episode 56.5 (while writing wedding thank you notes) was all the motivation I needed, that I stopped what I was doing to leave this review. I didn't even finish the episode before I started writing this because I feel so strongly about what I'm about to say. I just got married 3 months ago, and started listening to you guys before I even got engaged. I had searched iTunes for relationship podcasts and am so blessed to have found Marriage Is Funny! IT'S BEEN THE BEST ONE I'VE FOUND BY FAR, and i've done my research My husband and I dated for about 7 years before getting married, so we're no strangers to the ups and downs of a relationship! Now that the wedding planning is over, we recently have got back to focusing on working through some issues together, which has been tough because (like Gerard) my husband has had to work days, nights & weekends recently. Time has been stretched thin & we don't have the time to focus on our relationship right now that we need. But, he's job hunting! Listening to your podcast is a much-needed reminder that I'm not alone and that love isn't perfect, and that great love is possible! I truly feel that both Jessie and Gerard give raw, unfiltered & great relationship advice and most of all, respect each other both on & off the show, which is very admirable to me ... I love my husband, but he drives me crazy with his horrible memory & other things =). I'd like to hear on the show more about how to be more accepting of certain quirks a person may have. In regard to episode 56.5, I'd just like to say how brave you guys are for addressing the negative review. While everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion, what people have to remember is that this isn't a show about Barney & Friends, it's a show about real love and how to work through the good and the bad (with laughs along the way), which can sometimes appear selfish or ugly, especially to those who don't know your story or are experiencing the day-to-day in your personal relationship. But, sometimes ugly & selfish is okay and necessary when you're working through an issue with someone you love. Because eventually, you find common ground. Personally, episode 56 was just you two working through a raw/current problem on the show vs. in privacy. And because someone didn't understand everything you may be going through and couldn't relate, they called you names and left a bad review. I'd also like to say that you two are incredibly brave for opening up and being as vulnerable on the show as you are. I truly appreciate your honesty, love & laughter! I look forward to new episodes, and thank you for making a positive impact in my own marriage. Listening to you feels like a breathe of fresh air. I tell my husband all the time that we need to go one of your beach getaways that you host. Would be a dream come true because you guys seems so fantastic! P.S. Thank you guys for resuming the show! I was so excited after you came back from launching Season that I literally jumped for joy <3.

Soooooo needy
I used to really like this podcast (minus the God talk) b/c I thought it was an honest look at the realistic ups and downs that go on in marriage. HOWEVER the more I listen the more I realize it's just a spoiled, rich, anxiety-riddled white lady crying at her husband for not being home with her 24/7. Because he is at work! This chick needs to get some serious perspective on her life. OH MY GOD honey, visit a foreign country, do some volunteer work, foster a child, talk to some black people for heavens sake! Your life is so blessed that I cannot endure one more second of your whining.

Love these guys!
I love these guys! They are so honest and genuine about the ups and downs of the seasons of marriage. They don't preach advice at you, but just talk through their own stuff. As someone who doesn't have a lot of lasting marriages to look at because of divorce or death, I really consider them some "marriage role models". I hope they keep recording because my husband and I listen together, and it's been a blast keeping up with these two :)
