Hey, friends! Welcome to episode #1 with my friend Beth Lambert from epidemic answers. Before we get started, let's set the tone. This might be one of those podcasts that you're going to listen to, and we might not agree on everything. And you know what? that's okay, I know before I had a child with chronic illness I thought differently. It’s been a journey to come to my current understanding of these topics. We're going to cover topics that may be new to you, but we’re going to do it safely. Let’s lay them out on the table and take the time to look at them together as a community. We may agree or disagree on some topics but in my opinion that's how we move forward. That’s how we can help ourselves and our children and communities heal and have better health and outcomes.
Settle into your seat, take a deep breath, and know that we're going to get through this together.
Today’s guest is Beth Lambert, the executive director of Documenting Hope, she's an author educator and former health care consultant who has monitored and documented the escalating rates of childhood chronic conditions for over a decade. Her first book, A Compromised Generation, provides a thorough analysis of the origins of this modern health crisis, and we’re so excited for the knowledge she’s going to share in part 1 and 2 of this interview.
