In today’s episode, I dig deep into the challenge of trying to figure out what you want from your life. This is something I struggled with for pretty much my entire life. One of the strategies I used is what I discuss in this show. It’s called the perfect day exercise. It’s a series of questions you can ask to get to know yourself better. When you know more about who you are, you can start to discover what you want. It’s important to soak up the feelings created by each of your answers. Your feelings, together with your imagination are the keys to getting you where you want to go. Referring to some examples, while adding in a dash of humour, I also highlight the hard work that’s needed and how thinking of a reward can help you to stick to your path.Key TopicsAccepting the hard work that comes with getting to what you want. (02:53)How to stay motivated on your path to self-discovery by thinking of and feeling into a reward (05:38)Your imagination is the key to unlocking your dreams (10:16)The perfect day questions (11:13)Trusting your imagination and taking steps toward your perfect day, no matter how far away it might feel (15:26) Episode Links & Contact InfoIf you would like to connect with me, you can DM me on Instagram or visit my website www.kylievangelder.com for more information. Please remember to share this show with other mamas who need more!

A life lesson can be simple, but it can also be so powerful if you’re willing to dig down and heal what’s there in order to move forward.Key TopicsExploring repeating life lessons. (02:51)The reason a life lesson continues to return and what you can do about it. (03:55)Next to journaling, there are a number of ways you can heal what is behind your lesson. This episode is one that hits home for me. It’s all about the fear of judgment, why we experience it and how to work through those scary feelings. To help understand judgment, I break it down into three parts, with strategies for each – including ones for busy moms. The first is how we all judge others to some extent and the impact this can have on you and the perception you give to others. The second part focuses on judging ourselves negatively, the influence of our inner critic and how we can reduce this unsupportive process. Part three is the juicy one, detailing out how you can lessen the feeling of being judged by others. In the show, I share the best secret for how to do this, but I also highlight the importance of working through parts one and two. Headphones are recommended if little ones are around. Key TopicsWe are all a judge. It's the extent to which you judge that you need to be aware of, and how this can impact different areas of your life. (04:06)Strategies to stop judging others so harshly. (05:38)Self-judgment and the tools to help you lessen the negative feelings of doom. (07:49)Why we fear being judged by others. In today’s episode, I interviewed Megan Llorente, a full-time mom to her 4-year-old daughter, an author of 5 children’s books and an entrepreneur. Megan has been inspiring me since the day we met. She is all about intentional living – something I’ve been leaning into more but at the same time struggling to fully achieve. This is why we dive into how she does this while also discussing her secrets. Specifically, how she lets go of the pressure to be perfect and just follows her inspiration. We talk about her own personal development journey, spirituality, motherhood and so much more! This is such an exciting episode! Not only is it the very first interview on the podcast, but it’s also with my personal Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Practitioner, Coach and friend, Karen Risløw. In the show, Karen and I discuss the power of EFT, also known as tapping. EFT uses acupuncture points on the body and face combined with keywords and phrases to help release trapped emotions stored within the body. I just love EFT. I use it regularly to manage emotions, reduce stress and overwhelm, manage my anxiety around losing my children, and gain clarity. A huge benefit for you, as a mom, is you can work through the points in a matter of minutes. And what mom doesn’t love a quick way to reduce the feeling of going insane while the kids are screaming? I hope you enjoy the show. If you do, please leave a review on your favourite podcast platform. Headphones are recommended if little ones are around. Key Topics A detailed explanation of EFT and how powerful it is for helping to release trapped emotions. (03:36) My own personal experience using EFT for the anxiety I feel around losing my kids, as a result of my 5 miscarriages. (05:01) The benefits of using EFT for moms and how it can help you reduce stress and overwhelm around daily household routines. (08:24) Karen’s journey to discovering coaching and EFT, and how this has brought her to where she is today. (16:02) Letting go of society’s definition of what it means to be a woman and a mom. (20:37) An example of how you can put EFT into practice. (23:42) How releasing your triggers can help you and your children. (27:14)Episode Links & Contact InfoYou can connect with Karen on her website www.karenlouisecoaching.net, Facebook and Instagram. I'm now looking for inspirational stories from other mothers.
