This podcast is designed to inspire a new way of being - living in the moment, with more ease and alignment with our true selves. I’ve been on a wild journey of self discovery and love over the last few years, and I’m here to share that journey with you, with all of the tools, tips and lessons I learn along the way.  I hope this podcast brings you some calm amongst the chaos of life, and reminds you just how worthy, important and loved you are, exactly as you are in this moment. Thank you for being here and for being you!
Forgiveness and letting go of the past to create more freedom in the present
Hello my loves! Welcome back to Kindful the Podcast.  In this episode I'm sharing about a really important topic: forgiveness.  I want to be really clear that when I talk about forgiveness and letting go, I'm not suggesting that we should just accept any and all behaviours.  I believe two things can be true at once - there can be things that are completely and utterly unacceptable and unforgivable and I also believe we can find it within ourselves to come to a place of forgiveness, in order to set ourselves free from the hold these past experiences have over us. Forgiveness isn’t condoning what happened in the past. It’s not saying we’re ‘glad’ it happened or proud of our actions or that of others. It’s recognising that holding on doesn’t serve us any more in this present moment.  It’s recognising that we are all human and we are all imperfect. And who we are now is not who we were in the past. Forgiveness is about learning and growing from the past, and allowing ourselves to let go, in order to move forward in the present. Forgiveness is about letting things go in order to experience more freedom and peace.  We all deserve to be free. We deserve freedom from the pain, shame, guilt and resentment we may be holding onto from our past. We deserve to be free from anxiety, from self sabotage, from self judgement and criticism. This can be a heavy and uncomfortable topic, so it's my intention to explore it in a really gentle way, through the lens of mindfulness, compassion and love. I hope that talking about this topic can encourage us all to reflect on how we can be more forgiving - towards ourselves and others.  Thank you for listening, for being here and for being you.  Go gently. xx

54. Meditation 101: What is it, why should we be doing it and how does it work?
Hello! Welcome to another episode of Kindful the Podcast. In this episode I share all about meditation - what it is, why it is so beneficial, what happens when we meditate and more! I'm very passionate about this topic, as meditation has been one of the most transformational and supportive tools in my life, and has supported me through some really challenging times.  I'm also so excited to let you know about Calm Club, my new weekly live meditation group. If you'd like to learn more about Calm Club, click here. And if you're ready to sign up and join the club, you can join here. My intention is to create a safe space for us to come together, to feel more clear, calm and connected, with ourselves and with others.  I can't wait to meditate together!

53. My holistic health + wellness journey: Healing chronic pain
Welcome back to Kindful the Podcast! In this episode I open up about my struggles with chronic pain, and the holistic approach I have taken to healing it.  I share all about the various alternative and holistic health modalities I have tried over the years (there are a LOT), and share a bit about my experience with each of these.  As a disclaimer, I am not a health professional and am in no way providing health advice, I'm simply sharing my own personal experiences and what I've learnt through this journey. I also don't intend to discredit traditional healing practices or Western medicine in any way, I just think it's important to look at the whole picture when treating someone. I am sad to think of the amount of unnecessary meditation I took, and thousands of dollars spent on treatments that were ultimately ineffective in treating the root cause of many of my issues; stress. I hope that by sharing my experiences, perhaps it can open up awareness around some of the alternative options out there that can help us to find a greater sense of wellbeing, and physical and emotional health.  The wellness industry can be a confusing and complicated space to navigate, so I hope conversations like this one can shed some light on what some of these modalities involve and the benefits I've personally discovered from them. Here's a list of the various treatments, therapies and modalities I discuss in this episode, in no particular order, along with some additional info: Meditation Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Bowen Therapy  Acupuncture / Traditional Chinese Medicine Hypnotherapy + Energy healing Myotherapy Colonic Hydrotherapy Shamanic healing Confidence coaching FIR sauna  Reiki Tarot Astrological chart reading Aromatherapy massage Human design Psych-K EFT tapping / trauma informed tapping Thank you as always for being here, for listening and for your continued support and love.

52. The Truth about the personal growth and healing journey
In this episode I share my thoughts on the healing and personal growth journey, and how I truly believe there is no destination or end point that we ever get to. I share a bit about where I'm at right now and how I've been experiencing challenging emotions, beliefs, self doubt and imposter syndrome. And as tough as it is, this all a part of the journey. This can seem disheartening at times. We spend months (or even years) working on ourselves, going to therapy, reading all the books, trying different healing modalities, only to find ourselves at times feeling worse off than we were to begin with!  The truth is, the journey is non linear, and there are going to be times where we can physically see and feel the growth that has happened, and there will be times where it feels less obvious - where we feel like we're taking one step forward and two steps back. Yet overall, we are always growing and expanding, even if it doesn't always seem like it. This journey is not for the faint-hearted, though I do believe it is the more fulfilling and purposeful path that can lead to us feeling a great sense of wholeness, peace, presence and love for ourselves. 51. Self love: What does it mean to truly love ourselves?
In this episode I talk about Self Love, what it means to truly love ourselves, not in a superficial or surface level way that we often see on social media. I explore why self love is so important, and how we can start to open ourselves and our hearts up more to be more loving towards ourselves, and others. I believe this is such an important conversation to be having and I hope to explore this more in the future, here on the podcast and through some of my offerings. To stay updated, you can sign up to my newsletter here. Here are the words I shared in this episode: To me, self love is the recognition and the remembering of our true nature. It is the realisation that we are worthy of unconditional love, exactly as we are. It is a forever journey, not somewhere we “get to”. And as we continue to grow, change and evolve, it will require us to love ourselves more deeply, every step of the way. Self love is not selfish. This is what they will try to have us believe, so we continue to search outside of ourselves for the love and validation we so desperately desire. It’s remembering that while it’s okay to want to better and improve ourselves - that’s human nature - self love is not something to be obtained, it’s already within us. True self love is the acceptance of ourselves right here and now. Our journey is to peel back all of the layers of conditioning that have tried to tell us otherwise, so that we can see the beauty and perfection of who we truly are, underneath it all. And the words that came to me yesterday: Can I love the parts of me that feel unlovable? Can I be with the difficult emotions as they come up? Not avoid or suppress them, but really sit with them and trust that they will pass. Can I let myself be imperfect? To be vulnerable. To be the unfiltered version of myself. Can I allow myself to move at my own pace? To take my time and not be rushed by others’ timelines. Can I allow myself to let go of control? To not be so attached to the outcome of where I invest my most precious resources: time, energy and attention. Can I let go of what other people think of me? Knowing that what I think of me is most important. 50. Self worth and social media: changing the way we use and relate to social media
Hi there! Welcome to another episode of Kindful the Podcast.  This week's episode comes straight from my heart. I feel really passionately about this, as my own sense of self worth has been influenced so much by social media, both as a creator and as a consumer. I think we really need to take a good look at the relationship we have with these platforms (and social media in general), and assess how much power they have over how we feel about ourselves.  We can all fall into the trap of comparing ourselves and our lives to others on social media. It’s up to us to find new ways to relate to these tools, and to see them as just that: tools to help us connect with others. But we cannot afford to use them at the cost of losing that connection with ourselves and our innate worth. Remember, only you know what's right for you, and we all have the power to shift the way we interact with the world to be more supportive of our mental health, wellbeing and sense of self.  Thank you for being here and for being you xx Connect with me on Instagram at my personal page or the Kindful co account Find me on YouTube, TikTok and my website.

49. Becoming the "best" version of ourselves
Hello! Welcome back to Kindful the Podcast. In this episode I share a new perspective on aspiring to become the "best" version of ourselves, and instead offer up the idea of working towards becoming the most whole, integrated and authentic version of ourselves. Of course it's a beautiful thing to want to be a better human, I feel like this is something we can all aspire to be, however the idea of becoming our "best" selves feels really unattainable to me. It can leave us feeling inadequate and shameful, particularly in the times where we don't feel our "best".  Becoming a more whole and authentic version of ourselves on the other hand feels a lot more supportive to me. It creates space for our humanness. It allows us to be in those more challenging periods of our lives, to be with the harder emotions we all experience at times, and to be okay with ourselves and not judge ourselves so much as we go through this. And it's in these difficult times where we can discover the most about ourselves and experience some of our greatest growth, so why would we want to bypass this and to "be the best", instead of being with the experience and discovering what it is we can learn through it.  In the words of my dear late Pa, "You don't have to be the best, you just have to try your best". My love, you are doing your best and trying your hardest and that is enough. And this will look different each day.  You do not need to become this "best" version of you. How about you take some of that pressure off yourself and just allow yourself to be who you are, warts and all. Much love xx  Sign up to my newsletter to be the first to hear about my upcoming offerings here.

47. Meeting ourselves where we are: a practice in acceptance and mindfulness
Hello my loves! A bit of a different episode this week. I'm learning to honour myself and my energy levels, and to meet myself where I am. I'm learning to practice acceptance, for myself, and for whatever life is presenting. I'm learning to let go of attachment - to how I think things (like this podcast) should look, to outcomes, to the expectations and pressure I sometimes put on myself. I'm learning to show up more authentically, intentionally and mindfully. I hope this episode gives you permission to do the same. Thank you as always for listening, for your support and time, and for being here and being you.  If you haven't heard, I also recently launched a new podcast, Led By Life The Podcast! I’m so excited to share this with you. You can listen to it on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or watch the full episodes on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/@ledbylifepod Sending you so much love xx

46. Trusting the magic of new beginnings | Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! In this episode I’m talking about the magic of new beginnings, inspired by one of my favourite quotes: “And suddenly you know: It's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.” - Meister Eckhart  I reflect on where I was this time last year, feeling really lost and desperate to “figure out” my purpose, and how far I feel I’ve come in connecting with myself and my authenticity. I share my thoughts on letting go of our attachment to how we think things should be in order to open ourselves up to even greater possibilities than we could imagine.  And I also share about my brand new podcast with Rafaela Buenaventura, Led By Life The Podcast! I’m so so excited to share this with you. You can listen to the first podcast episode on Spotify, or watch the full episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/ePN3u64MAM4  Thank you so much for your support up to this point, I can’t wait to share more with you this year and I’m wishing you a beautiful 2023!
