In this episode, I dig into who Rep. Ilhan Omar and her family are and find that investigators are examining at least four things right now: immigration fraud, her personal finances, her campaign’s finances, and her contacts with at least one foreign contact.I also look deeper into the Talarico Hoax and find strong ties to grifters, scammers, and perhaps even the SVR.Finally, I walk through the claims that Ukrainian strikes on Yandex data centers in Russia took out Russian bots and affected the viewership and engagement of dissident-right podcasters and similar figures.There are a few throughlines in this episode that I highlight repeatedly. One, check the source material, and assess its credibility before accepting the information as true and before sharing it with others. Two, there are influence ops everywhere; there’s a war for your mind, so you must keep your guard up at all times. In this episode: news that HSI, with DOJ alongside, executed a search warrant this morning at Rep. Ilhan Omar’s D.C. residence as part of a criminal fraud investigation into her family’s immigration to the U.S.—on Columbus Day. It has me in stitches.In other news, Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan, who on November 5, 2009, killed 13 people and wounded more than 30 others, is headed for a firing squad. I go over a report on his radicalization and discuss my views on the death penalty and whether his execution ought to be televised.Texas Democrat James Talarico was gone for nine days. He said it was the flu. Some large X accounts claimed he was actually at a mental health facility in Ohio. The facility says he was never a patient there. Someone is being dishonest, and I suspect a baited hook is now set in someone’s cheek.Lastly, the grand-conspiracy case in Florida and the Fulton County 2020 election probe appear to be coming apart as multiple key personnel have recently resigned, including a central figure in both of these probes, Kurt Olsen, who reportedly had his security clearance pulled just before resigning. It sounds like bad news, but the criminal probes are real, the grand juries are real, and the subpoenas are real. In this episode, I address the self-defeating and foolish notion that “not voting” is a viable strategy for anything other than ushering in left-wing tyranny. At 7:06 a.m. on December 4, 2025, Brian J. Cole Jr. was arrested while walking to a 7-Eleven near his home. The FBI took Cole to a staging area and then to the Washington Field Office, where they interviewed him.Agents first ask Cole about his personal history, his family, his work, and the rest of his background. When they get to the pipe bombs, Cole initially denies any connection. He offers a cover story. He denies, denies, and denies. He gets on what I call the anxiety hamster wheel. Then, after the agents show him some of the evidence and explain how overwhelming the totality of it is, Cole begins to confess to all of it.Thanks to a filing the defense made this week, a transcript of that interview is now public. In this video, we read it. All of it.Despite the confession and the significant evidence against Cole, many people still claim he is a patsy: that the confession was coerced, that it could not have been him, that his autism and other conditions made him incapable of doing it, and that the person in the January 5, 2021 video does not match Cole.But the evidence and the confession match Cole and no one else.To believe Brian Cole is not the January 5 pipe bomber, you have to ignore the physical evidence against him, which is damning even without the confession. You then have to believe, on faith and imagination, that under interrogation—after a series of denials—he instantly invented a detailed story about the purchases, the assembly, the planting, and his motives. That story would also have to match the same evidence. And he would have to tell it while performing intense anxiety and a guilty mind.The same people who claim he was framed also call him a “child” with severe autism. He is in his 30s. They argue he was not capable of doing what he is accused of and what he confessed to, yet he was capable of putting on that performance.It takes far more denial and invention to reject the case than to take the evidence, and Cole’s own words, at face value.The evidence in this case, together with Brian Cole’s confession, removes all doubt about who the January 5 pipe bomber is.It was him.The transcript is here.The Just Human Podcast and Just Cases Newsletter are reader-supported publications. 9/11 twenty-five years later. A generation has grown up with no memory of that morning. In this episode I sit with the footage, the posts, the commemorations, and my own memories of September 11, 2001.I walk through videos and images from the day—the impacts, the collapses of the Twin Towers and WTC 7, President Bush being told the news, the extraordinary courage of first responders, and I talk about what the images from that day still do to people who lived through it. I also look at how conspiracy theories around 9/11 have grown larger, more accessible, and more mainstream over the last quarter century, and the real damage they have done to victims’ families, to our understanding of what happened, and to the pursuit of truth.This is not a recap of the attacks. In this episode, we go over the newly released Oxferd Comma investigation memos, which show that just days after Comey was fired, Acting FBI director Andy McCabe opened a full investigation into Trump. The very next day, it was taken away from him and given to Special Counsel Mueller. We’ve long known this took place, but we never knew the name of the investigation, and the versions of these memos that were released years ago had more redactions than the new ones do.Next we catch up on the most important June and July filings in the criminal case against the SPLC. Since the superseding indictment was unsealed on June 2, the defense has filed a motion for show cause (seeking contempt/sanction against the DOJ for a draft version of the indictment being sent to the media) and made filings in support of that effort and a motion to dismiss for vindictive prosecution.Finally, we cover the latest in the DOJ’s criminal probe of the 2020 election in Fulton County, where a district judge has granted the county’s motion to quash.
