El Mejor.
I’ve been really lucky to learn from amazing teachers in multiple cities. In the studio, online, and in teacher trainings. Jay Co has been my one consistent teacher wherever I go. Every session provides instruction on finding balance, approach to challenge, compassion, curiosity, developing intuition, and building strength. And he never offers the same class twice. His mastery in structuring each class and cueing postures demonstrates his own awareness of muscle coordination and the internal experience of yoga. He walks the talk. His classes are welcoming for all levels and encourage self-study, self-guidance so you always get exactly what you need. A review can’t do justice, but suffice to say, I highly recommend this podcast and practicing with Jay Co whenever you can.

Jay = zen master!
Jay’s voice, pace and yogi wisdom create the setting for some of the best yoga classes I’ve ever taken. Very grateful he’s offering it through this podcast for a guided home practice.

Pace. Challenge. Soul.
These podcasts kept me sane through the pandemic. A variety of pace and challenge through the different classes and always great soul.

Amazing
I’ve been doing yoga for 15 years and am a certified yoga instructor. I discovered Jay Co at the beginning of the pandemic and he is simply amazing. Jay’s classes are consistently the best I’ve ever taken. My husband and I play his classes on a speaker when we take them together, or I just pop in my air pods when I’m solo. His classes are challenging but not fancy (which I love). I do yoga with Jay multiple times each week and my body (and mind) have never felt better.

So wonderful!
How amazing is it to put in the head phones and press play. A perfect end to my day. Jayco is clear with his instructions, no visuals needed. He is kind and gentle with his words while opening up possibilities for more challenge.
I’m looking forward to sharing this with others.

Intelligent grace
This podcast has been a lifeline in quarantine, a unique opportunity to find and explore new depths of my practice with Jay’s intelligent guidance. The oftentimes slower pace has created such needed grounding for my anxiety. But don’t be fooled into thinking slower = easier. The work is deep, in body and mind. Extremely grateful for this resource.

Consistently Great Yoga
Jay’s classes are some of my favorite, especially when I need an evenly paced but challenging class to reset my body and mind. He gives enough direction to keep me focused while also providing ample silent space to reflect. He delivers a truly great yoga class.

Best way to practice at home
Following the class in this podcast is my favorite way to practice yoga at home. Jay is one of my favorite yoga teachers and I love how it’s an actual class recording so you can hear his verbal adjustments to other students. I like it better than zoom classes (oh these pandemic times) because I don’t have to worry about where my computer should be placed and I’m less distracted by it, also I can practice any time I want. Paying the $5/month for the archive is the best deal ever and I love being able to choose what type of class I want to take. There are all sorts of classes that range in length from just under an hour to around to 1 hour 45 min. Thanks Jay!

Just. Great. Yoga.
The name says it all. Jay has given us a gift with this collection of yoga classes, and personally it’s been how I’ve kept myself sane during these quarantine days and months. Just like his in-person classes, I come out of each at-home practice buzzing with a focused energy, while also feeling a warm sense of peace and gratitude. Each class is different, yet all feature Jay’s signature qualities - straightforward yet challenging sequencing, steady pace, easy to follow cues and guidance on alignment, a focus and integration of breath into the practice, and always some great wisdom woven in (hint: it’s usually related to the class title!). All of this combined with Jay’s soothing voice, calm delivery, and sense of humor and playfulness result in an amazing collection of classes that you’ll want to keep coming back to again and again.

We are all looking for ways to practice yoga at home. This is perfect. I love the no frills aspect of jay's yoga and a podcast vs a video is totally this. As a quarantined full time mom its really hard for me to get an hour and a half to myself. but i'm so so glad i made time for this.

Cannot recommend more highly
I feel so lucky to have found Yogaraj. I have yet to meet a teacher I don’t absolutely love. Jay has created such a wonderful environment and such an enriching community. His classes are always surprisingly difficult - as is the case with these podcast episodes. The gentle pace gives way to really challenging sequences and then a really peaceful, conclusive stretch. Especially during these unprecedented times, it is such a treat to be able to practice at home. The podcast and the zoom classes are exceptionally worthwhile. Like I said, I feel so lucky to have found this studio.

Yogaraj is my Fave
There are great teachers, good teachers and not so good.
In my opinion Jay Co is great. His sequences are diverse and interesting such that every class feels different. His cues are insightful so it feels like I’m learning something new every week. I appreciate that he takes time to get the students safely warmed up before leading us through the reliably challenging portions of the class. In spite of our focus on physical postures and movements, Jay consistently points us back to the core of yoga practice - the breath and a life of peace, equanimity and kindness. He’s also good for a crack of humor every once in a while and his laid back personality and voice make for a prototypical yoga teacher. I’m also impressed with the various teachers on staff at Yogaraj who are excellent in their own right and offer a diversity of styles and insights. Their presence alone is evidence of Jay and Yogaraj’s esteem. All this plus it’s very reasonably priced! Yogaraj really is an outstanding studio. The podcast, zoom classes and live classes are all highly recommended in my opinion.

Simple perfection
First off, I never have understood podcasts. I never wanted to sit and listen to anyone talk on and on, BUT THIS...what a great asset! To be transported into another world where all that matters is your breath and the sound of Jay’s comforting voice (he gives Matthew McConaughey a run for his money). My muscles burned from the intensity but Jay’s easy way of talking you through it and the deep stretching at the end brought such balance to the hour. I love the wrap ups at the end, Jay’s pretty wise. Plus after shavasana you don’t have to leave! Thank you! This was just what I needed!

A quarantini for your soul
This podcast has been a Monday morning godsend! Jay serves up precise posture cues alongside funny and often profound observations, all in his characteristic relaxing/mellow “yogi” voice. Following along with this podcast-class feels like gulping down a quarantini for your mind, body, and soul. No matter where you’re practicing, you can’t help but find yourself tuned-in the same way you would in the Yogaraj studio space. Thank you Jay for this truly remarkable contribution in the social distance era!

Jay Co in my house? YES PLEASE
If you’ve been fortunate enough to experience a Jay Co class at Yoga Raj you know how lucky we are to get to experience his soothing and stable way of being at home.
The podcast classes are recorded live, and at first his instructions directed to “everybody” threw me off a bit.... Now i love him talking to “everybody;” I feel like I’m part of the Yoga Raj family in practice.
Jay offers a nice, balanced flow. He does great, slow and meditative warm-ups and his sequencing is challenging yet mindful. It definitely brings my home practice to the next level - I not only do warm-ups and savasana more than I ever would do alone at home, Jay almost always teaches bakasana (a love/hate for me that I’m glad to be forced to do).
I can’t say how grateful I am for Jay making these recordings available on podcasts. Take some time with it, you’ll see what I mean. 💜🙏

My favorite yoga class and teacher at home!
I almost exclusively take class from Jay (even if to my own fault). I love the pace and the flow. I especially love Jays voice. It’s so mellow and soothing - I’ve never been able to feel so relaxed and at ease while “working out”. True yoga! I’m so grateful he bottled that wonderful energy and released it here for enjoyment at home. Can’t wait for more.

🙏🏼
During these crazy times, it is hard to find even just a little bit of normalcy. Listening to Jay’s podcast really felt like being in the studio with him, surrounded by others in the class, despite being alone in my living room. Having practiced with Jay for years, the experience of practicing via podcast still felt comfortable, mindful, calming, and just plain normal. Thank you, Jay! Namaste.

Highly recommended!
I started practicing yoga with Jay in the early 2000’s and his classes are what made me fall in love with yoga and eventually become a yoga teacher and yoga therapist. He has a great voice, which instantly relaxes you, he is funny, and he is relatable. I used to drive all over town to get to his classes, but work changed and I haven’t been able to practice with him in years. So grateful he has created these podcasts.

Smart yoga led by a smart instructor
Best teacher in LA. Hands down. His accessible, yet challenging classes (along with his wit and humor) are an excellent way to start off the day.

It’s like you’re in the room!
I’ve never found another yoga class like Jay Co’s so having it available to me whenever / wherever is certainly a joy. The podcast makes you feel like you’re right there in the room and the workouts invariably leave you feeling rejuvenated, both physically and mentally. Simply the best!

So happy to have Jay on-the-go
I practiced with Jay for seven years in LA and his classes were one of the things I missed most when I moved. It’s so calming and centering hearing his voice again and being able to take his classes. Thank you so much for making these!

THE Best
I have been practicing yoga in many places and many forms for over ten years and Jay is hands down, my favorite yoga guru. Moved to Denver several years ago and have been desperately missing his classes. So glad he’s started to share them online. Simple sequences that are accessible to all levels, but his cues and hold times always make it just the right amount of challenging. Sprinkles little spiritual anecdotes that settle you perfectly into the start of class as well as shavansana. It is impossible not to LOVE Jay’s classes!

One of the finest yoga instructors; what a gift!
I have been practicing here in Los Angeles for many years and Jay is hands down one of the best teachers I have taken from. His amazing class translates so well to podcasts as he is gifted in his instructions in the poses and, ever so vital, in the transitions. Not many teachers can accomplish that and all with a tone of relaxation that not only strengthens your yoga physically but mentally as well. Thank you so much, Jay, for taking the time to release these podcasts!!

I am on a trip and really wanted to get in some yoga with Jay. He is a great teacher in person and just as good on a podcast. His tips on positions are really helpful. Thanks Jay! I appreciate you and Yogaraj!

Five stars!
Jay leads an expertly cued class that strikes the perfect balance of challenging and restorative, wise but never preachy. I am forever grateful to have this podcast for when I can’t make it to the studio.

Never going back to videos!!
I’m a stay at home mom and it’s been really tough to make it to class so I’m so grateful to find Jays podcast!! In the past when I’ve done yoga videos at home I find I get easily distracted, watching a video automatically takes me out of my practice but having just the audio to guide me has made it so much easier for me to stay focused on my own practice. I LOVE it and will NEVER go back to videos. Sometimes I just play it on my phone but it’s way better when I play it on speakers and with wireless headphones I feel like I’m actually in the room. The teacher’s voice is quite ‘easy on the ears’ and I really enjoy his style. He teaches a challenging vinyasa flow with easy to follow cues so I never really feel like I need a visual. You can tell he has been teaching a long time. Besides teaching a challenging class he’s also really funny and insightful and so far I’ve never been bored. Would love to practice with this guy in person!!
