This is the fourth and final segment of my interview with coahcMike formerly of the Human Performance Insitute here in Orlando Florida from 2013. Coach Mike gives some sage advice to up and coming Strength and Conditioning coaches about choosing the right certification for your training philosophy, and the how-to chose the right college programs to follow to develop your training phylosophy. I also ask Coach about his 10-year plan, which this interview was done over 8 years ago so I hope he has developed his plans and ideas to help more people live and move better.
Make sure to check out the Atlas Pro Training blog that was inspired by this interview and helped me develop my ever-evolving training philosophy

This is my take on 5 things you can do to gain your second wind and maintain the focus you need on your craft. You may not always like what you love to do but going back to the basics of what you love to do will pay off in the end!

This is the second segment of my interview with Coach Mike of Human Performance Associates here in Orlando Back in 2013. If you are an athlete looking to understand the mind of a strength coach (which is close to impossible lol) or a parent of a student-athlete who wants the inside scoop on how strength coaches training philosophy and how it's created.
In this part of the interview, we discussed what Coach mike enjoys about being a coach in the strength and conditioning industry, knowing your skillset and how to stay within that skill set.
We spoke about Making training fun but specific to what the athlete needs in order to compete at a high level, his childhood, and the start of his coaching career. Leave any question in the comment section and don't forget to subscribe to the GAMEREADY Podcast! I hope you enjoy the show!

This is the first segment of my one and a half hour interview with Coach Mike of the Human Performance Institute here in Orlando Florida. This is the first of 3 segments from the interview, this was a class project when I was studying for my Bachelors of Science degree back in 2013. We covered the history of strength and conditioning from Coach Mike experience back in the early days in the 1980's and 1990's. This was my first interview, and I was extremely excited to get this opportunity to learn from one of the legends in this industry, which set the tone for my career! If you are a trainer or coach or an athlete you are going to enjoy this series of interviews!
