Poor service when purchasing supplements
I love this podcast! I am in the medical field and Lauren’s information is accurate. To support her I have been buying her supplements about 1-2 times per year. 50% of the time my order is wrong or a product is missing and I have to email them. In August I had a large purchase during the Double D sale and my order was incorrect. I emailed twice, called and even left an email on their website. It’s October. Still no response. Order is still not filled and I am missing a product. I will listen to the podcast but I can’t support Lauren when her supplement customer service is so poor.

Listen
I love this podcast! It’s succinct, informative and relevant. I always take something away- be it an actionable step or food for thought. Each episode is worth a listen (or 2 if you need to note recommendations mentioned). I appreciate Lauren’s scouring of health research

Intelligent take on intuitive eating
Thank you so much for your podcast on intuitive eating. It was a smart assessment that really distills the reasons why it doesn’t work for most people (myself included). There are all sorts of miscues that the body gives us that may not accurately reflect real hunger but other things - hormonal imbalances, insulin resistance, boredom, anxiety, sleep deprivation, etc. I also appreciate foodtrainers’ health first approach - making sound food and lifestyle choices for your health, and weight loss is the corollary of health gains. And ironically, when you do make healthy food choices (and not whatever you want whenever you want it) and get the blood sugar rollercoaster under control, it does get easier and more intuitive to continue to make good choices. Chef’s kiss to this podcast and foodtrainers’ approach to health and wellness!

A voice of reason in a complicated industry.
I look forward to every Monday with Lauren and Kayleen, knowing I will get trustworthy advice for my journey to better help. I’ve made several shop purchases (all great) and received personal feedback from Lauren via Instagram about questions. I appreciate that in today’s “fix it fast” world that Lauren and her team always encourage us to stay the course and make steady progress - the right way. Thanks for being a voice of reason in a complicated industry.

I enjoy when they talk about supplements or anything w science behind it like what drinking does to us. Sugar vs alcohol was pretty interesting. I’ve enjoyed having the new gal on

Love the show - make it longer!
I love this show and could listen to the two of them talk for hours, but at least make them 30 minutes so I can get through a dog walk. Lol. So insightful, fun and seriously down to earth advice.

UPDATE to review (So glad Foodtrainers are finally in podcast form!)
UPDATE - 11/7/22 — I loved the dangerous seed oil episode and have forwarded it to everyone I care about! I’m always saying inflammation, grape seed, canola (… all the Hateful Eight!) are bad, but I can rarely call all of the reasons to mind. So helpful and impactful to have ALL the info in one place, along with the perspective on HOW CRITICAL this info is, because these oils ARE everywhere! THANK YOU, as always, FoodTrainers! MY INITIAL FROM 2-3 YRS AGO IS BELOW ——Been reading their blog / newsletters for years. So much of this stuff out their now but FoodTrainers are the real deal, full of practical and powerful everyday health / eating nuggets of wisdom (backed by science!) which you can actually USE. Hearing their wisdom in breezy podcast form, full of their great humor and vibe, is such a bonus! Looking forward to more!

Same old toxic advice
If your a privileged upper middle aged white women you'll like this podcast. To everyone else, you'll be board and a bit grossed out.

Great wellness podcast
Topics that are easy to digest with real world applications and the research is done by a registered dietitian! I recommend to all my friends.

I cannot relate
I found this podcast because I am interested in food and nutrition. I am a person of color who likes to define themselves as middle class. These two white women are very condescending. I listened to 3 episodes. Between Vermont and Manhattan there is very small ground to cover. The older woman sounds a little aggressive. Her employee, the younger woman sounds more down to earth. Perhaps I am not the right demographic for this.

Amazing podcast and effective advice
I was finally able to drop the 10 lbs I was struggling to loose after listening to this podcast and applying several of the tips. I sleep better and have more energy. The episodes are easy to listen to and I appreciate the scientific explanations. I often listen to episodes over again and find I pick things up I’ve missed. Highly recommend!

Great content but...
I take away gems from every episode. But I struggle with the multiple “sort of”s in every sentence.

Informative yet not Overwhelming
My sister sent me the Supplements episode and I’ve been hooked since! Such a wonderful source of well-explained information about nutrition, not just what to do but WHY. Thanks Lauren & Kayleen! You make a great team. You’re informative, accessible, humorous, and supportive, doling out doable tips and tricks for typical busy women.

Binge listening!
Great information in a perfect amount of time! Great topics! “Dry January” episode was eye-opening for me. So glad I found you. Currently binge listening as I exercise, clean, flip laundry, etc...

Love listening
I appreciate when you really break things down with alittle science vs just making a suggestion. Ex. Take VITAMIN D in the AM and do this b/c etc etc ect. Love listening it reminds and motivates me to take better care of myself. Feeling very depleted with 2 toddler boys very close in age so i need the self care reminder. Thank u!

All or Nothing
Happy new year! After listening to all of your other podcasts was so happy to have a new one! Would love to hear one on the topic u mentioned - replacement foods and behaviors. I have loved so many of your suggestions like ginger tea, matcha, siete chips. Unlike other addictions, you can’t quit food so healthy behavior and food modifications/substitutions would be a welcome podcast - or two! Also love your thoughts on planned treats vs. “cheats”. I had read that a cheat gets you closer to your goal. Food cheats quite clearly don’t do that! Looking forward to next Monday’s!

Always look forward to listening
Wealth of sound information provided in digestible pieces. Listeners will always gain realistic tips to try. I tend to listen to many of the episodes more than once, especially when they are on hiatus, because I miss them! Thank you Lauren and Kayleen- keep up the good work!

Nutri-Priest
Once dubbed (by me) as my Nutri Priest-Lauren Slayton is someone I trust implicitly! Her product suggestions are stellar, her dry sense of humor is wicked, and knowledge of health and nutrition are all the things we need right now! Especially during a pandemic. I still feel the need to ask her if three Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and Tequila are okay for dinner during Covid? Believe it or not-the answer isn’t full of too much judgment (though probably not recommended)😂😂😂. Just don’t make a habit of it! Haha! I highly recommend so many episodes-Vitamins, Peri-menopause, and trends (I am getting the name wrongs but look for yourself). Concise and chock full of info!

I💗Foodtrainers!
I am a woman who is entering the “peri” zone of my life, and I looked to Foodtrainers to help me clean up my act. Some of the things that I used to be able to get away with I no longer can, and food trainers helps you find so many helpful ways to be healthier! I don’t live in NYC, but there’s so generous with helping other people who don’t have access to their office.

Digestible and Relevant
I look forward to seeing the podcast come through my feed each week. Great way to start my Mondays. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. I especially loved the travel podcast. Tried cutting carbonated water and fasting on my flights last week - felt much better - less bloated and bounced back to feeling myself more quickly. Thank you again!

Loving this!
Learning so much from this podcast. It is practical and not filled with too much scientific jargon. I like that you are giving options that we can use dependent on our lifestyle! Keep it up

Informative and easily digestible
I feel like I’m learning a lot about foods when I thought I was already pretty knowledgeable on the topic. I really appreciate how easily laid out the information is and the goal to institute one change a week so it’s not overwhelming.

Such a great source for realistic nutrition tips!
I’ve been binging these podcasts. Lauren is always on-point with topic selection, and she does such a great job of explaining the science of nutrition issues while not getting too bogged down with it. Her advice is practical and realistic. I’m pretty into fitness and nutrition and definitely have felt like I’m in a rut. So, I love that I always finish a podcast with a small improvement to work on that helps me fine tune my nutrition. Plus, Lauren and Carolyn are so likable and just easy to spend some time with. I definitely recommend checking them out!
