I have made it a habit to listen to your podcast in the morning while I work out before work. I wake up at 4 am (something I swore I would never do after I graduated from seminary) to read my scriptures and exercise before leaving for work at 7. I work full time at an elementary school and then come home to be mom and step mom to 9 kids. Your podcast gives me an extra spiritual boost in the morning that helps me through the day. It also gives me insight to add to our family come follow me lessons. I grew up listening to John Bytheways comedy and tapes and I am really enjoying listening to his (and Hanks) doctrinal insights. Thank you!

I absolutely love this Podcast. As a convert it has helped me dive deeper and better understand what was happening to the people in the early days of the churches beginning. Definitely recommend to all ! I talk about it so much my kids now roll their eyes when I bring it up.

This is not your average podcast. You can spend a lifetime sifting through the voices and philosophies on the internet and never find something as pure and true as what we receive here. It is of course, a podcast, and not the holy scriptures. But a wonderful tool to understanding the holy scriptures. Hank and John expound on the words of life with real experiences and wonderful guests while staying truthful to the doctrine and the principles of the gospel. Jesus Christ said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” Thank you to Hank, John and all the guests, but above all, thank you Jesus!!

I cannot find the right words to convey what a marvelous gift this podcast is. All who are involved in producing and performing are a blessing on this earth and proof that God works through mankind, with all of its imperfections, to bring about His perfect word in a way that adapts to all of our individual understandings. From the top to the bottom of of my heart, THANK YOU! ❤️ ALL of the guests are phenomenal…and for me, Brad Wilcox, Dr. Lilli Anderson, and Dr. Gerritt Dirkmatt (sp?) pierce my heart every time. They seem to answer my hard questions every time they’re on the show.

I attended BYU, and the religion classes were the highlight of my experience—especially Christ and the Everlasting Gospel with Hank Smith, where the scriptures first felt real and personal. As life moved forward, the Follow Him podcast filled the void I missed from those classes—and even better, you don’t have to write any homework papers, haha! I’m so grateful for Hank and John’s service in creating this. It’s helped me feel even more connected to the gospel and better understand the Come, Follow Me program. Thank you for making the gospel feel so personal, accessible, and full of light.

I love hearing thoughts from the scriptures, especially contextual history. Hank and John always bring up the Savior in each episode. This is an excellent addition to my studies for Come, Follow Me! Definitely recommend!

I did not find this podcast until the fourth year of its existence,. The concept of having two incredible and engaging speakers host this using a guest expert each week was mind-blowing. I love the book of Mormon, but I grew more in studying it last year than I had in any year previously (which is kind of embarrassing since I am over 50). This year I have the luxury of listening to the 2021 episode and the 2025 episode as we cover the doctrine and covenants and church history. What a great opportunity for growth!

I love to be in the scripture. However, as a supplement to my personal study I find “Follow Him” a fantastic addition to my study. I talk about it with my wife and children. I’ve brought facts to Sunday lessons. I love to listen to it in the gym or on a run or bike ride. It is also a nice way to decompress on my commute home from work. I love Hank and John!

This is such a great not annoying podcast. The hosts are obviously amazing, but what I’m impressed most by is their humility. This isn’t a pride project, they aren’t dominating the conversation, the first scholars are diverse and fascinating. Audio is great, not a waste of time.

My mom would listen to this podcast before she would do family scriptures with my siblings and I. Sometimes she would have all of us listen. I got interested and wanted to listen for myself without the noise of my brothers and sisters. Every time I get to hear the stories and the revelation and the insight from these amazing hosts and guests I just understand the scriptures so much better and cant deny how true all of these words are. I would recommend to anyone who wants a new perspective on the gospel and ‘by the way’ I love it. Sometimes I even need to bring a ‘hanky’ because of how strong the spirit is. There are 58 mountains in Colorado over 14,000 feet. Over the last few years I have climbed everyone of them while listening to this podcast. There’s something very refreshing about listening to the doctrine of the gospel in the thin air above treeline. Some of these climbs take all day and I was blessed to find out you had been doing this podcast long before I discovered it so you guys have me plenty of material. There’s something that happens above tree line in the heart in the soul that causes any bitterness or resentment to depart from you and you’re able to see things as they really are. Thank you for bringing the spirit into your podcast and for having such wonderful guests. This podcast is so wonderful. I grew up listening to John Bytheway and Hank Smith and I’m so grateful they have come together to make this show. I’ve always been inspired by their words and stories. Their humor has always put a smile on my face. I am a mother to two small children and I don’t often get the time or make the time to study the scriptures as I would like to. This podcast has helped me to understand and increase my testimony in so many ways. Every time I listen to the speakers and guests, I am filled with The Spirit and inspired to act upon what I’ve heard. What a blessing modern technology can be! I’m so glad this exists!
