He has a capacity to lift more than we ever could. Here's a truth for you: you can be found within the crucifixion and resurrection story. We acknowledge that women, those who made mistakes, those who experienced unexplainable pain, religious skeptics, those questioning and wrestling with God are all found within this story. There is a place for you. There is a peace for you. Through the sacrifice of Jesus, God invites the WHOLE OF HUMANITY IN and says "YOU now have a place in me."

Yeah, we've been there too, and although it feels pretty terrible, there is a "stiff neck syndrome" that affects us far worse than a common kink in the neck. The term "stiff necked" is used in the Bible (OT and NT) to describe a people, or oxen, that instead of living, bowing or moving in submission, reverence or response to direction, are one who hold a rigid pride and stand unwilling to bow or surrender. Psalm 18:30 reminds us that God's way is perfect, but for some reason both historically in the Bible and today, we as people have a difficult time bowing in submission to the commands and call of God, leading us to have stiff necks toward Him, others and our purpose.
