Happy 4th of July! What an amazing country to be born into! Am I right?! Welcome to a special edition of Finding Her Happiness When I realized that the 4th fell on a Tuesday I knew I had to do a special episode focusing on being a woman in America especially with all the controversy happening in our country today surrounding women and women’s rights. Before I continue please know this IS NOT a political episode. I am not here as a Republican or Democrat. I am here first as a daughter of God and a sister of Christ, second, as a woman and lastly as a proud American citizen. I base all my views and opinions on those three facts. With all of that being said, I have so much to say about this country, my love of it, being an American woman, all of it! But I don’t want to have a three hour long episode so as you already know, I like to keep my episodes 30 minutes or less because I know your time is valuable just like mine, therefore I want to make sure I give you all the good stuff in a perfect amount of time that will fit well into your busy life. In order to do this I thought it would be best to break my thoughts down into three points: the greatness of America despite its brokenness, all the rights and freedoms we actually do have as women in America and lastly, the enormous blessing of being a Catholic Christian in America.
