One of the greatest movies of all times! That and sixteen candles of course. I can literally quote both movies verbatim. The 80’s was such a great decade but I am digressing. Although I could spend an entire episode discussing all of my favorite movies from the 1980’s, I actually chose this quote because of today’s conversation on marriage and happiness. As I was mapping out this topic I knew I wanted to begin with a great quote about marriage and although this is technically not a direct quote about marriage, I thought it was still fitting. My goal for today is to dive deeper into the good, the bad and the ugly parts of being married. Without further ado, welcome friend! We are rolling right into episode number 15!
With that said, I don’t actually think marriage is bad, rather I think a lot of marriages are unhealthy. I use that term bad because honestly the phrase "the good, the bad, and the ugly," sounds way better than "the healthy, the unhealthy and the not so pretty." To make this conversation more digestible, I will take each one of the above aspects of marriage and break them up into three main points.
