Welcome to everything with Val Podcast. Today we are discussing the Culture Map by Erin Meyer. The book focuses on Eight Scales. Each scale is a representation of how cultures tend to behave along a spectrum in comparison to another.
These Eight Scales include:
- Communication
- Evaluating
- Leading
- Deciding
- Trusting
- Disagreeing
- Scheduling
- Persuading
To help me discuss the book I am joined by Emma Bostian, Co-Host of the Ladybug Podcast.

- National Culture will trump your Organisational culture true or false
- Use of food and drink to blur the message?
Part III: Your recommendations working across cultures
- What do you recommend is the best approach to working in a different culture?
