Great until episode 21
I thought this podcast was a great pairing with Eq Applied’s courses through episode 20. Episode 21 is a rant by someone named Sarah that oversimplifies many complex issues in an attempt to get people to not comply with COVID restrictions from two years ago (I think that’s the most objective description I can give it). It’s so different than the first 20 episodes, I looked to see if it was a rebroadcast of an old episode I somehow missed from 2020. Now I’m wondering if Justin’s podcast was hacked or Eq Applied is a long con for the extremist right.

Important & Enjoyable
Of all the email lists I’m on, this is one of the few I take time to read. Emotional Intelligence is such an important topic that is becoming less common, and any way to raise the maturity level of interaction with our fellow man is a good thing that begets greater things.
fable fiction false
Not an exaggeration
This is far and away the best podcast I have viewed. Justin’s ability to take data from the scientific literature and apply it in a pertinent, understandable way to every day life is unparalleled. This podcast is packed with practical ways to identify how emotions can work against successful outcomes in personal and professional life and provides simple to follow tools to raise one’s EQ and deal with challenging circumstances in the most honest, caring and positive way. You will learn how to make emotions work for rather than against a desired outcome in a way that is honest, forthright, and uplifting to those involved. Life changing!

First Things First
I liked it, but it could have a little more to it. I remember taking a leadership class that taught how to shake out the list a little. Most important, tasks due soon, toughest or easiest. So, how to choose those first things first can be a nice way to breathe into it. Make four boxes and place tasks in them. Then pick a few and always add an easy one to help show progress. I think the tone could be a little more mature, but overall good start.

Great start Justin. Short, sweet, and actionable. Nothing says this will be painless like a 5 minute podcast. Looking forward to more content.

Great Podcast on Emotional Intelligence!
Justin Bariso starts out strong with a short and reasonable length for a first podcast with concise information that makes sense. The use of other voices and the background music also works perfectly with the upbeat message.

Super
Quick, easy and to the point! Very well spoken and brought me back to ‘center’ as I am a person who tends t get paralyzed by fear of being overwhelmed. (ADHD) I am a person who is SO run by my emotions, they can get the best of me and procrastination is my middle name. Little things like this help. Thanks!

No happy music
I agree with your content. However after the intro, please turn off the happy music until the very end. It is very distracting. I also think your advice of first things first needs one qualification. Break the first task down into it basic steps and do the first step immediately. This breaks the block that is holding you back from doing the first task and creates the momentum to plow through all of the tasks.
