Perhaps you think  of a bird sanctuary, a wildlife sanctuary, or a room in your church? By  definition, a sanctuary is a place of refuge or safety. If we have  learned anything over these past two years, it is that there are very  few places left on earth that match this description. Humility, submission, surrender, and other similar words are not easy or desirable traits in today's world as we are very sensitive to the injustices around us. First Peter Chapter 2 and 3 deal with uncomfortable topics when considered within today's culture. How can we understand and relate to these topics in a balanced, supportive, and just way?
