Day Drinking Nashville Episode 8 with Rich Dart
On Episode 8 of Day Drinking Nashville with Kimber and Amy, we have John's "road husband" and Drummer for The Monkees (yes, the "real" Monkees, like "hey, hey we're the Monkees," like the TV show, "The Monkees")...RICH DART!!Since Rich doesn't drink Al Key Hol....there was WAY more for Kimber and Amy to enjoy while he was also sipping on a mocktail made with one of our favorite non-alcoholic choices, Seedlip!  Both wines featured on this episode are produced by Morgan Winery in California. The first wine introduced is Metallico, by Morgan, which is a beautiful and pure expression of Chardonnay, as it is un-oaked and instead, aged in stainless steel for 4 months. With tropical fruit and mineral aromas, this wine is light to medium in body and very refreshing. It just so happens that this wine also pairs well with Rich's stories of how he came to meet one of his musical hero's, Micky Dolenz, then being asked to join his band and eventually playing with The Monkees!  As the storytelling continues and we find out more about Rich, including his symphony gigs playing the xylophone on steroids, we dive into our next wine, Cotes du Crow's. This unique blend of grenache and syrah, with just the right amount of tempranillo and cinsalt is blended and aged 10 months in oak, adding the perfect touch of vanilla and spice. This wine is just bold enough to carry us through while we hear funny stories about the perks of being a drummer and funny fan stories that you just can't make up.  Here's to Morgan Winery and one of our very favorite storytellers, Rich Dart!!Cheers!More on Rich here: https://richdart1.bandcamp.com/communityMore on Morgan Winery here: https://www.morganwinery.com/More on Seedlip here: https://www.seedlipdrinks.com/en-us/Like our Facebook page for more inside info! https://www.facebook.com/DayDrinkingN...If you're an Instagram user we're right here for you! https://www.instagram.com/daydrinking...Filmed on location at Wine Down Nashville.

Day Drinking Nashville Episode 7 with Philip Shouse
In episode 7 of Day Drinking Nashville, we are thrilled to have one of our favorites, Philip Shouse!  As he affectionately renames this episode, "Not Day Drinking Nashville," he blows our minds with some unexpectedly fabulous ZERO proof alcohol, as Kimber and Amy have a revelation they are actually as silly without it ! Who knew? Philip introduces us to some Ritual Zero Proof Rum, Tequila, Gin and Whiskey alternatives, which taste like anything but "virgin." One taste of these, and we were hooked! We loved every one of them and all are a great addition to drink just as they are, or to elevate your cocktail kit collection.   Even better, while were were "Not Drinking," we were getting to know about Philip's start in Nashville, touring with country music artists and eventually making his mark on the Rock scene.  Not only is he one of the founders of "Thee Rock N Roll Residency," one of Nashville's coolest star-studded underground gatherings, he elevated his guitar god status as he tours with Gene Simmons, Accept, and is gearing up to go back out with Ace Frehley (Ace Frehley and Alice Cooper tour).  Kimber also showcases another line of great Zero proof and Zero Calories, Seedlip. With highly pleasing aromatics such as garden, grove, and spice, they are great for elevating mocktails and cocktails alike. As we know about Philip, he is a total pro and does his research. That is clear with the new non-alcoholic Juicy IPA  and West Coast IPA  from Untitled Art from Wisconsin. Both taste like awesome craft beer! If he hadn't have told us it didn't have alcohol, we wouldn't have even known!  Cheers!   More on Philip here: https://muttmerch.com/More on Ritual Zero Proof: https://www.ritualzeroproof.com/More on Seedlip here: https://www.seedlipdrinks.com/en-us/More on Untitled Art Brewery here: https://www.drinkuntitled.com/Like our Facebook page for more inside info! https://www.facebook.com/DayDrinkingNashvilleIf you're an Instagram user we're right here for you! https://www.instagram.com/daydrinkingnashvilleFilmed on location at Wine Down Nashville. http://www.winedownnashville.comWatch this interview here: https://www.youtube.com/c/DayDrinkingNashvillePlease Like and Subscribe!

Day Drinking Nashville Episode 6 with Ainsley
On Episode 6 of Day Drinking Nashville, we have our favorite rocker chic from the land down under, Ainsley! Join us as we hear about her life adventures that have taken her to live in such places as Australia, New Zealand, San Francisco, and now Nashville, where she has laid down roots in the music business. She is the ultimate vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, recording and touring artist.  For this episode, we thought we would take her back to her roots in tasting wines from Australia. Both wines we are enjoying are produced by Byrne Vineyards estate wines in Riverland, South Australia. The first is Scotts Creek Retreat Chardonnay. Pale straw in color, this wine has fruit aromas of apple, lime, peach and guava. It is recommended to serve chilled, to enhance the layers of citrus tart and tropical fruits.  Then, as we are just finishing up the last few drops of this obvious porch pounder, we shift to  something a little bolder as Ainsley gives us all the good details about her studio sessions here in Music City: Scotts Creek Retreat Shiraz!  With notes of dark fruit and oak, this Shiraz is ALMOST as bold as Ainsley, as she took her leap of faith to make it in the music business right here where she belongs....And she lived, happily ever after.  Cheers!   More on Ainsley here: http://www.ainsleymusicofficial.com/More on Byrne Vinyards here: https://byrnevineyards.com.au/Like our Facebook page for more inside info! https://www.facebook.com/DayDrinkingNashvilleIf you're an Instagram user we're right here for you! https://www.instagram.com/daydrinkingnashvilleFilmed on location at Wine Down Nashville. http://www.winedownnashville.comWatch this interview here: https://www.youtube.com/c/DayDrinkingNashvillePlease Like and Subscribe!

Hear how this prompted CMT (Country Music Television) to put his music/video on air to become #1  on their Country Music Video Countdown!  This inspirational story gives us something to toast about!  During the first half of his nail biting tale, we knocked the edge off with a killer product from Stroudwater Distillery, Griffin's Wharf 1773 Coffee Liqueur.  They deem this, "A Coffee Toast to the Tea Party."  Made with the finest blend of beans from Central and South America, roasted to perfection, and then combined with the highest quality spirit, molasses, pure cane sugar, and other natural ingredients, this liqueur was made in the spirit of the American Revolution.  As we get over the edge, start to hear of Todd's stories of success against the odds, we relax and enjoy the ride, while sipping on "Tequila's Sweet Kiss," Vespertino! Day Drinking Nashville Episode 3 with Rich Eckhardt

The first is made from most widely planted red variety of grape in Austria, Zweigelt.  Hugl Secco Zweigelt Rose' is made from 100% Zweigel, a cross between the St Laurent and Blaufrankisch, and has strawberry, cherry, and floral notes. It is also a sparkling rose', making it amazingly refreshing!  Mmmmmm..... tastes like the Sound of Music! The second one we sip on is an Austrian white, Hugl Gruner Veltliner. This is equally refreshing, as we enjoyed it chilled and in charge. With citrus and grapefruit aromas, exotic tropical fruits with a hint of white pepper, this wine is medium bodied, crisp, and has just the right amount of minerality.
