It wasn't so long ago that the vast majority of the internet consisted only of text and pictures. At a time when most people had little to do with videos, there was an interview with the founder of Facebook named Mark Zuckerberg. When asked what he thought would happen to the internet over the next few years, he predicted that by 2020 over 80% of all content consumed on the internet would be video. Today we all know that this is true and that this prediction was quite accurate. But when we started selling our courses in 2014, we weren't quite convinced and had to ask ourselves the following question: How do we know that videos are the one thing we should do next? But there is another good reason why we decided to make our video content available on YouTube for free in order to attract paying customers. And that's where the second man comes in! His name is Wayne Gretzky and he is an ice hockey player who was once asked how he managed to achieve such outstanding results. He was not the greatest player, he was not the fastest player and he was not the best player on the field. Nevertheless, Wayne Gretzky was always able to score goals and the reporter wanted to know why. Wayne Gretzky's answer has become world famous. He said the following: I don't skate where the puck is, I skate where the puck is going! So was it logical for us that video content would be consumed more or less on the internet after 2014? At the time, broadband internet was on the rise. Video portals like Netflix or Prime were already replacing the old video stores. There were several other indications that video content was on the rise, such as incredible numbers of videos consumed on YouTube. And what was the result of a few years of selling our courses with video content? We found ourselves in 2020 exactly where the puck was going! The whole world was at home in the home office and everyone was watching video content. Now, in hindsight and now that we all know that, it's no longer a big secret. The more interesting question for you right now might be what is the next goal where the puck is going. So what should you do today if you already know that video content makes up the vast majority of Internet content consumed? It's simple: you think about what the next logical step in development is. And that's where Mark Zuckerberg comes in again! Because a few weeks ago he announced that he wants to restructure his company and create a large virtual internet called Metaverse. We are not too fanatical Facebook fans and we don't think that you have to follow every trend. However, the Facebook founder is right again in this case: we already made the first attempts with automated videos in 2016 when nobody was interested in this topic. After all, it's no problem to just turn on a camera in your mobile phone and record a video, right? In fact, this manual process has some advantages. Personal videos also seem more personal than automated content! Some things like situational comedy, facial expressions and intonation cannot be fully realised with automated content even today. However, there is one crucial advantage! Automated, digital content can be created, translated or duplicated at the click of a mouse. And there are already technically very advanced approaches that can be put to good use! So, how do you think technology will develop in the next few years? Do you think automated video content will disappear again? And do you think that technological progress will lead to more or less of this content on the internet in the future? We firmly believe that this is exactly where the puck is going! You can resist technological advancements or you can take advantage of them. And we will show you how you can use automated video content to attract customers. So that you have more time available to actually talk to your newly acquired customers. Because there are some things you should not automate and one of them is the personal conversation with real customers!
