https:/ We are doing the same in this case! The videos of the last few days and some additional videos have been uploaded via a YouTube channel and are already being viewed by the first visitors. In addition, we would like to give the whole thing a little push by placing a corresponding advertisement! In fact, this is quite easy, but you have to consider a few things. For example, our first advertisement was rejected because it contained some terms that were sorted out by the automatic check at the big search engine. The reason for this was that the term prophecy seems to be on a blacklist and if you talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy in a video, the software check assumes that you are talking about bad things in this video that people have allegedly caused themselves. Google has some rules about creating ads and one of them is that sensitive content about disasters or terrorist attacks cannot be used as an ad video. And although I still think that the term self-fulfilling prophecy to explain a self-fulfilling concept has nothing to do with terror or disasters, I have no way to discuss in any way with the robot at Google! So we took another video and used that as an advert. What many people don't know is that you can use a YouTube channel to advertise on Google! In our case, it's a tutorial video that we had already created anyway. This was uploaded to our YouTube channel and we then placed an ad for it on Google Ads. This ad works basically like this: you choose a video as the ad type. The corresponding video must already be available on YouTube. After that, you can make some restrictions regarding the budget, the language used and the countries in which the ad is to be placed. In our case, we decided on five large English-speaking countries. After that, you can set a few things, such as the text for the call-to-action button or the headline. We decided on a skippable ad that is shown in the first few seconds before another video. We also chose an appropriate search term that people on Google actually search for. Now, when someone with the appropriate criteria enters the appropriate search term on Google, our video will be shown to them, provided that the person is located in one of the five selected countries. Another advantage of YouTube ads is the fact that the costs are significantly lower than for ads for pure Google search. For search terms where you can spend double-digit amounts for a single click on Google, YouTube videos can already get you a lot of viewers. The average cost of a click on a YouTube video for our programming course is just six or seven cents. Especially in the first few days, there are of course various viewers who are less interesting for us. We are writing Google a cheque for the fact that the algorithm tells us which people have watched our videos. Afterwards, you can look at the positions in YouTube where the ad was placed and make a decision on the basis of the statistics for the respective YouTube channels as to whether and to what extent you want to narrow it down further. Many people are afraid of wasting money on ads, but especially in the early days you can think of it as paying Google to have the biggest company on the internet research for you what works and what you want to change. We will go into more detail about these types of video ads in the Premium Course, so that's it for now. If you have any questions or suggestions about this content, feel free to email me. I always answer myself and usually within 24 hours.
