Completely unknowingly, I recorded several episodes all about periods. Which, looking back, isn't very shocking at all considering I have PCOS which is an endocrine disorder that heavily affects the menstrual cycle. So now we have a mini-series! This week I had Tiffany Williams, a functional nutritional therapy practitioner (FNTP), talk about periods, the keto diet (YES AGAIN LMAO), and big words like gluconeogenesis. You can follow her on Instagram at @tiffanywilliamsfntp or check out her website at sageflowholistic.com.

I know people don't wanna hear it but ... the ketogenic diet is literally just an eating disorder. Most diets are also just eating disorders, but that's a topic for another episode. There's lots of ground to cover so let's buckle up. Trigger warning for discussion of eating disorder behaviors.

Exposing the fashion-career-to-culinary-world pipeline, queer by queer. Parisa talks about being a (gender)queer Iranian working in fashion in the '90s and '00s in NYC and how that turned into making tahdig not war on Tastemade decades later. Alternatively: a queer Middle Eastern Gen X-er and a queer Middle Eastern Gen Z-er walk into a Zoom call...

Aaaaaaand we're back! Here's 30+ minutes of me explaining why I ~rebranded~ the podcast after a [redacted] amount of time stressing about what the hell to do with it. PLUS I learned that royalty free music exists and now I have a cute little intro and outro so you don't just have to listen to me breathe heavily into the microphone. Yes, someday I will remember to not hold it directly in front of my mouth and hopefully the sound quality will improve at that point.

Jessenia Hernandez (@flourchild_ on Instagram) is an amazing queer baker based out of Washington state. We chatted for a really long time (almost 2 hours!) about what it's like to be a dyke in kitchens, our astrological signs, and as always, Harry Styles.

Lupe Terrones is a jack of all trades, master of all. She's a yoga instructor, personal trainer, reiki master, trained chef, and astrology expert. And that's just her day job. In this episode we dive into concepts of cosmic nutrition, what Virgo season means for intuitive eating, and why I say I hate Aquariuses but I don't actually mean it. Sven and Amanda are an adorable queer couple that love to cook and bake--especially aphrodisiacs. They combine queerness, sexuality, and gender with food through dialogue and conversations, but also through food itself. We talk about everything from how aphrodisiacs work on a biological level to how food is the heart of communities around the world. You can follow them on Instagram @queer.kitchen and @citrusslut_.
