Reply: How do musicians & artists clear samples? -- Creative DLC
Want to use a sample in your track?  Replying to a query I have on my channel regarding artists using other people's tracks/songs/music within their own recordings. I go into David Guetta & Bebe Rexha - I'm Good (Blue) as an example, and how they may have cleared this sample. Thanks Chris!

Diary Of A Music Manager Ep. 5 - Recording and Compositional Rights - September 2022
A short update and explaining the difference between how management works between RIVES and Ebi Soda.  Mini music rights cheat sheet below:   Recordings/masters are the actual audio file you listen to. Record Labels buy these rights from artists, and monetise them by selling vinyl/CD, getting them streamed, licensed for adverts/TV, public performance and much more.  Songs/compositions are the lyrics and melody within the audio files.  Publishers buy these from the artist and monetise these by encouraging other performing artists to play/use their compositions (covers), placement on adverts/TV,  public performance, sheet music and much more.   Once again, big ups to Rob and Ollie Radio as part of Future Hits Radio for making RIVES Artist Of The Week!

How To Plan Your Creative Project (feat. The Project Circle Model)
Being a 'creative' myself, I've often found that creating art and building a campaign around it have been completely different skillsets.    Since starting E'XVI, I've had a number of questions about how to build a campaign by musicians & artists - There is no 'perfect' answer. Instead, I've created a perspective model of the very basics to keep you on track with the purpose of the project and what the next steps are. I've named this the Project Circle Model.    When you want to share your art with the world, ask yourself these questions:   ---1. Why did you start this creative project?  Define the purpose.   ---2. How will this creative project take shape?  Define the project.   ---3. Where do you want this project to be?  Locate Destinations.   ---4. What do these destinations need? What do you need?  Build Assets.   ---5. When do you want to do the above (what order)?  Build Narrative.   ---6. Results - Access each part. Improve. Repeat.   I welcome any feedback and thoughts to this and I hope this is something that brings value to artists looking to execute the project as true to the purpose as possible. Thank you!

Creatives In Quarantine
Creatives in Quarantine & Artists in Isolation:   Look after yourself & close ones before anything else.   Don't feel guilty about lack of productivity in isolation.   If you feel like creating content, any content is good to add to the community.   Video content for artists has much higher traction as there is a demand for indulgent media as escapism.    If you are unsure what to do, reflect on your 'why' and come back swinging.   You are already doing so much by staying home. Be safe all and we will beat this soon x   #coronavirus #covid19 #safe #quarantine #isolation #virus #music #artist #why #reflect #escape #find #peace #certainty #help

Weekly Endeavours #4 --- (Brits, Br*xit, 'Two Can Play That Game' BPI Gaming Deck)
---Brits  Successes are a byproduct of alot of hard work, even if it is top heavy.   ---Brexit  Your core audience are your priority, and they are likely to be family and friends nearby. If you have good stats to go abroad, get an agent and go tour!   --- 'Two Can Play At That Game' Gaming's  £116 billion per year industry provides direction for streamers and some insight into divergent ways to express art as a musician. Gaming is inwards, and music is outwards, but they both exploit the attention economy (that's not a bad thing!)   Any questions, queries, comments welcome.
