As one of the historians and seasoned statesmen of our sport, AJW offers a perspective that’s important to hear. He also happens to be one of the nicest humans out there and continues to give to the community. AJW makes the trail & ultra world a better place for everyone. Keep up the awesome work AJW, your podcasts are amazing!

Love the “look-back on 2025 predictions”. Great episode! Always entertaining & thought-provoking with AJW& guests, or solo.

Am thankful for your willingness to share your thoughts and convictions, thank you

AJW always delivers with genuine enthusiasm and heartfelt commentary. This Legends season leading up to WSER has been incredible.

I look forward to each Monday when the new show comes out. His unplugged episodes are heartfelt and amazing. This is the reason I love trail and ultra running

This aging ultra runner is loving the interviews with the 70+ year old western states qualifiers! Thank you AJW! You have a lot of mid to back of the packers listening so don’t forget us!

AJW is the brew master for ultra running and especially Western States 100. His interview style brings out the best stories and experiences from his guests. This podcast is the first one I choose when looking for something to listen to.

In a world where you just work nonstop, Crack A Brew is just the right way to decompress. We want to get inspired, we want to hear good stories and have hope for the future and this podcast does the trick. It is my goal to one day be interviewed by AJW and I just need to make sure to get after it so that he and I can chat one day. I will do whatever I can to make that happen.

Great insights

AJW consistently brings on guests that have compelling stories and motivational wisdom. I look forward to this one each week, plus the occasional solo session with AJW in which he has great takes and wonderful rants. Bottoms up!

AJW’s excitement and curiosity opens the door to entertaining interviews with some of the most interesting and amazing Ultrarunners.

Thank you for that one. Introduced me to 100s. ❤️

Iconic

Like drinking a beer with a friend, AJW delivers authentic and fun content - personal stories and great interviews. Such a good guy

So glad AJW has a podcast of his own going. Always entertaining and informative!

But enough with your bro love of western states! And craft beers is so early 2000’s

Listening to AJW interviews is like listening to two friends share stories and depart knowledge.

Very motivating and also a human side of these incredible people!!!

I’ve always enjoyed interviews with AJW, and his columns on Irunfar.com. His personality is on full display in the podcast. AJW perfectly straddles elite running with the mindset of a mid packer. I’m not an ultrarunner, nor do I intend to be. But I am a runner and AJW always inspires me.

New to trail running and enjoyed my first few episodes of TRN when I heard the premier of Crack a Brew…loved it immediately. Looking forward to more episodes.

Finally I don’t have to wait for AJW to be a guest on some other pod cast!!!! Really looking forward to depth this one will deliver👍

It’s about time AJW started his own podcast. Looking forward to him reminiscing about 2005 WSER!
