FInd us a person who isn’t “busy”... we’ll wait. There is no way around it, but if your life is busy, you absolutely have to schedule in your priorities in order for them to happen. Treat your health habits the same you would treat a meeting or appointment. Schedule it in. Prep-plan it. Get organized. Even if it’s 15-20 minutes, that is exceptionally better than zero minutes.
There is no way around it. You have to be prepared - with both your fitness and nutrition. If your health is important to you, you’ll need to commit to spending some time in the kitchen before your busy week begins!

We, as a society, are impatient. So, so, incredibly impatient. We’ve been taught that it’s normal to have instant gratification for most things in life - our food, technology, transportation, and definitely our fitness results. There are endless ads for dropping an insane amount of weight in an insanely short amount of time. So it’s really not your fault that you believe these things to be “normal.” But, it doesn’t work that way. It never has and never will. Instead of getting fed up because you aren’t seeing instant results, or your fad diet backfired and you are up more weight then when you started, take a new approach. Agree to a slow and steady approach. Understand that it’s going to take time. Your job is to quit quitting!

Is there a perfect workout time? That length of workout that gives you exactly what you need?
Surprisingly, NO! The length of your workout is very dependent on what your goals are, but even more so, how you spend the time you have in the gym. What we do know? If you only have a few minutes, you’re going to need to include some intensity! If you have loads of time, figuring out how to use that time most effectively and efficiently is important too, because just hammering yourself for hours on end every day won’t help your fitness either.

We totally, 100% understand. It can be really scary to walk into a gym for the first time. It can be intimidating. You don’t want to be the weakness, least fit, slowest, or the “newbie”. We get it, because we have ALL been there. Here are a few things to keep in mind when gaining the courage, and how to get yourself through the door.
First of all, think about why you want to start at a gym in the first place. If that reason is strong enough, it will overtake your fear! Second, make a phone call, and talk to a real human first! If it feels right, get yourself through the door. If it doesn’t, maybe try the next place. Third, remember that this is about YOU. Which means that everyone else is likely feeling the same as you - worried only about themselves.
