CEA-HOW
This podcast highlights talks from members of Compulsive Eaters Anonymous-HOW. Compulsive eaters identify in many ways – overeater, undereater, food addict, anorexic, bulimic; it can be someone with 10 pounds to gain or with 205 pounds to lose. Regardless of the label, we are in the grip of a serious and progressive illness that can lead to or worsen depression, obesity and other health related diseases, and ruin families and careers. But CEA-HOW offered us another way of living. It offered us a promise of happiness, contentment, and achievement in all areas of our lives.
Not About the Food
Amy S, a compulsive eater, shares how she entered recovery believing the solution was all about food—until she realized the food was only the surface symptom. Her story highlights the deeper emotional and spiritual work that actually makes recovery possible. The opinions expressed by the Speaker on this podcast are their own, and not necessarily those of CEA-HOW as a whole. Compulsive Eaters Anonymous-HOW (CEA-HOW) is a fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength, and hope, are recovering from compulsive eating. We are a 12 Step program for anyone with an eating disorder--compulsive eater, anorexic, bulimic, etc. We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively.  Are you a compulsive eater?
