Campers! Today we follow Percy as he asks a lot of questions that aren't answered (surprise, surprise!) and venture into the mess that is cabin 11. We meet Luke, Suz is swooning somewhere, and Percy gets up close and personal with a toilet with the help of a daughter of Ares. We discuss the furies, the avengers of Greek mythology and have some notes on the campers we have met this far.

Watch us discuss Percy trying to work out what is real and not real as he wakes up at the infamous summer camp his dad wanted to send him to... Like, what do you mean the greek gods are alive and kicking? And what do you mean they're in New York... and holy guacamole, is that man a horse? Also, watch your cabin 7 counselor apologize to the public for pronouncing ominous wrong (can't bring shame to god of poetry), and Suz talks about Perseus, the infamous hero, who got a happy ending.

Today we learn that a satyr has goat legs, not donkey legs (a very important distinction, lest you wanna get trampled), and that Grover has been sent to protect Percy from mysterious forces, which is why they are now on their way to previously discussed mysterious summer camp. Then Gabe's car gets hit by lightning and Sally Jackson becomes the champion of bull fighting. We then discuss the deeply twisted myth that is the minotaur and wonder why the gods always punish the women!

We meet Percy's favourite person in the world, his least favourite person in the world, and are introduced to the wonder of blue food. Follow along as we're finally introduced to Sally Jackson, his stinky stepfather, and hear more about Percy's mysterious dad. Just as things are getting out of hand, Grover shows up without his pants. We discuss the myths of Herakles, the eagle, and the horse... but also, what is all this fuss about a summer camp?

Percy is once again expelled, but he can't find it in himself to care. He does however care about the weird conversation he overhears Mr. Brunner and Grover having, but when he confronts Grover, he is interrupted by three old ladies who are knitting what are possibly the biggest socks in the world. After, we discuss the real myth of the fates (Suz does, Lea's best reference is the disney classic Hercules), and wonder just when the summer solstice is.

Before we embark on some of the greatest quests of our lifetime, it is only fair you know your counselors. Meet Lea and Suz, both Percy Jackson veterans as they discuss their favourite books and characters, and how they made them bond in the pits of Tartarus (hospitality). Oh, and we get claimed by our godly parents too!

Come along as we begin our story in New York, where troubled kid Percy Jackson tries his best not to get expelled. Again. He reallly should have decked Nancy Bobofit when he had the chance. After, we'll have a nice chat about the myth of Kronos and how it's kind of incredible he didn't realise he ate rocks, and some our favourite moments in this very first chapter of 'The Lightning Thief'.
