On this episode of “Be Unexpected” Wyatt and Jake had the opportunity to interview former Husker Jay Moore! We had fun diving into his story as he overcame injuries at Elkhorn High, shared stories about his time at the University of Nebraska, and what it was like to play in the NFL. It made it even more special because we were huge Jay Moore fans when we were elementary school kids!

Jay was an all-state Football player at Elkhorn and was getting recruited by schools all over the nation. Then came adversity, Jay had a major injury, but he did not let that slow him down. Nebraska still honored his scholarship and Jay went on to have a great career at Nebraska! From his his career playing at Nebraska or the NFL  Jay has found  ways to look for the small wins and build on them. Jay had to really fight for those small wins as an 18 year old kid coming to play football at Nebraska. 

After finishing his time at Nebraska Jay was a 4th round NFL draft pick. Injuries cut his career short, but that did not change his mindset. Jay continued to have a winning perspective and was thankful for the way everything worked out. Jay now competes at a professional level playing golf and is in the Wealth Management business in Lincoln.
