This week we decide to bring on a very special guest, Cory Britt, to talk about his lifelong struggle with alcohol and overcoming his addiction. Cory went from coasting through life completely dependent on alcohol to a change in his career path, consistent exercise, and eventually completing a marathon.

In this episode, Cory covers what life was like before now, when his addiction started, how it took over his life, and the moments in which he realized he couldn't continue any longer. He highlights his change in his career path after achieving sobriety, who influenced him the most in his change of mindset and life, and everything he wants people to understand about his story and transformation.

Gavin & Cody met Cory at Burn Boot Camp in March of 2021, only 8 months after Cory became sober. They had no idea Cory had went through what he discusses in this podcast. The more Gavin talked with Cory, the more he knew he had to have him on the podcast to spread his story to the world. This story is real, and it is something a lot of people struggle with. Let Cory be your inspiration to want to overcome. You deserve a better life. You deserve to be free.

For anyone struggling with addiction, just know you have people who love and care about you so deeply. They want to see you heal and will do anything to get you healthy.

For everyone listening, let this be a lesson to treat everyone with respect, kindness, and compassion. Everyone in this world struggles. We are human, and we have battles to conquer every single day. By loving and supporting one another, we can easier conquer these things we are struggling with. Do not add more difficulty to someone's situation by being inconsiderate, disrespectful, or rude. You have no idea what someone is struggling with or how hard they are struggling. Treat people better.
