In one week, I have binged the TWO full seasons of Survivor on Netflix! In this podcast, you’ll hear about how living through this pandemic is a lot like Survivor. And also...in part 2 you’ll hear me talk about how there is so much potential to outwardly express ALL that we are with joy and gratitude. Sis, you deserve to be free. And you are worthy of freedom in all areas of your life. Periodt.

I wear glasses and I’ve always wondered if I’m increasing the chances of eyesight loss because I work in dim light late at night. I never said it wasn’t true, but it is a LOT more complicated than I thought. Press play to hear the truth about this “myth”. Plus, keep listening to hear one of the biggest lessons I learned from my last relationship.

I was born and raised in a big city in the USA, and I have witnessed a lot in my short lifetime. What I do know now is that many of the things that I have been challenged with are beyond my control. There is a whole system at play when it comes to inequality. I am just a small part of MANY who are affected by the poison this country is saturated in. I just want to be happy. If you’ve ever wonder what goes on in ONE black woman’s mind on a day to day, this is the episode for you. Press play. Hear my story.

In June 2020 I had a heart health scare. This episode is a transparent exploration of my spiritual beliefs as well as a honest conversation about how I feel about all that is happening around me - epecially as it relates to protests and protecting Black Life. I am grateful to be able to continue to share. Life can be a struggle for me sometimes. The weight of my anxiety makes simple day to day activities very challenging. Nevertheless, I am grateful for the perseverance to continue. I hope that this episode touches you in in some way and reminds to take those moments you need to listen to your body and make sure you have what you need to thrive. I love you. - Amaya Reneé Abaddié

“I weep” - Razelle. I live in a big city, and I have seen and heard protests in masses migrating on the city streets just outside of my window. We can no longer be ignored. There is more wrong with this system any “one” person has an answer for. In a world and country where the truth is crystal clear, yet even more concerns about humanity arise. Let us not overlook the brutal and residual consequences of slavery echoing in every corner of the world. Black pain and the criminalization of black bodies is being documented and the people of this country are fighting to rise up against an unjust system designed to keep those in power...well, in power. It’s become too much. I invite you into a very sacred part of my soul: storytelling. I often write to escape into magical worlds usually filled with black women with Afros. Journey with me to the ancestral realm as I do the best I can to process the trauma that is constantly being resurrected and remembered in my body. A body story my ancestors will never let me forget. | Written, Directed, Produced, and Narrated by Amaya Reneé Abaddié | Thank you Anchor for hosting and distrusting my exceptional creative vision. So far, I feel well supported by you.
