This week on the All Things Food podcast host Nickie Hursthouse talks to Dave Hursthouse, a regenerative farmer and social ecologist who is committed to allowing life to thrive.

Dave is a coordinator of the Socio-Ecological Learning Environment - a space focused on learning that increases the wellbeing and resilience of people, communities and the environment.

He is also the co-Chair of Permaculture in New Zealand, a member of Kai Ora: Whanganui Kai Collective, and a coordinator of Pīwakawaka Farm - a regenerative farm in Whanganui that produces local, organic, nutritionally dense food.

 The episode covers:

-       What drives Dave’s passion for bringing about change?

-       What is sustainability?

-       What is regenerative agriculture?

-       Why is it so hard for us as a society to make the changes that are needed to sustain people and the planet?

-       How can the everyday non-farmer make a difference?

You can get in touch with Dave Hursthouse via Hursthouse Ecological or through the Learning Environment.
