• The “necessity” for having a side hustle. As the cost of living keeps going up, having a side hustle increases your income. It’s a grind for sure, but if you want the life, then you have to want and endure the process.
• Carly’s day job: Communications Advisor at Environment and Climate Change Canada
• Carly’s side hustles include: being an “Upcycler” whereby she finds used items to refurbish and sells them, and she is also a financial coach 
• The importance of having your passion come through with your side hustle - you have to enjoy the process of what you’re doing
• Having multiple sources of income keeps your eggs from being in 1 basket, and it also teaches you to have multiple skills that you can monetize at a moment’s notice
• The importance of having goals (financial, personal, spiritual, etc.) to give your side hustle(s) direction and purpose. 
• How a side hustle can eventually lead into a main hustle if you put the work and passion into it, and how the main and side hustles go hand-in-hand (i.e. getting the seed capital from your main hustle to fuel the side hustle)
• The importance of not taking unsolicited advice from people who haven’t experienced what you’re trying to create (namely not listening to people who haven’t taken risks AND are in a financial position you don’t want to be in)
• How you can discover what your side hustle can be
