行船入夜，恰江上升明月，圆如玉坠，仿若身在故乡，似与你并肩共赏。

As the boat sailed into the night, a bright moon rose above the river, round as a jade pendant; for a moment, it felt as if I were home again, standing beside you beneath the moonlight.

江海万里，心中念你，便不觉遥远。

Though rivers and seas stretch for thousands of miles, thinking of you makes the distance fade away.

湄南河畔木棉花盛开，像极了家乡的春天，压了一朵在信中，望你也能闻到花香。

Kapok trees are in full bloom by the Mae Nam River, just like the spring back home. I tucked and pressed a flower into the letter, wishing you could smell its fragrance.

近来握笔练字，学会了你的名，虽然潦草，努力数日定会成功。

Lately, I have been practicing writing with brush and ink, and learned to write your name. Though my strokes are still messy, I will surely master it with a few more days of practice.

纸短情长，伏惟珍重。

Short as this letter is, my love runs deep. Please take good care of yourself.

七月初七，大妹出花园，已亭亭玉立；大弟、细弟亦个头出挑，健朗聪慧。

On the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, our eldest daughter completed her coming-of-age ceremony and has blossomed into a graceful young maiden. Our elder and younger sons have also grown tall and healthy, smart and bright.

见子女茁壮，欣慰非常，此乃你我共享之骄傲。

To see our children thrive brings me great joy. They are the pride we share together.

七夕当夜，梦你衣锦归来，仍是少年模样。

On Qixi night, I dreamed you returned home in glory, still the young man I once knew.

梦醒行至寨门前，闻溪水潺潺，方觉夜深。

When I awoke, I walked to the village gate and heard the stream gurgling softly in the darkness; only then did I realize how deep the night had grown.

念你安康，好梦，即已知足。

Wishing you well and peaceful dreams is enough to content my heart.
