New Shows?
I know that Seton has not been well, but are there any new podcasts on the horizon perhaps with Matt and the Professor or some other guest? IOI is my fave, and I very much miss listening to you.

Bad bad bad
I listened for a while and found it hard to listen to (Matt can’t seem to complete a fluid sentence) and with every episode you really get the feeling they only do light research, if any, and mainly jump on rumor, conjecture, and gossip.
Sad. They could do better if they tried to work from facts.

Well Done
Such a well done and professional podcast. Fact driven and informative. Seaton and Matt are in sync as hosts and special guest “The Professor” brings it with his vast knowledge and experience in law. There are other podcasts that cover the Murdaugh murders but for me this one does it best. Gives the listener facts and lets them decide for themselves.

Listen to True Sunlight
Yet another podcast riding on the coattails of “True Sunlight”. If you want to keep up with Murdaugh (and other cases), go to the better source. Also, listen to “Coerced” and learn more about Mica Francis.

Flat Awful
No originality, no journalism backgrounds. Listen to True Sunlight and Cup of Justice instead, those are excellent podcasts. This on sucks.

Highly recommend
This podcast always does a great job of covering all sides of a story and starting unbiased. They get great guests to explain complicated issues. If you enjoy learning about the legal aspects of some of the high profile cases, this is definitely the podcast to follow.

Great discussions but consistently bad/low audio

Great, neutral reporting
Don’t pay any mind to the Mandy Matney bots/mean girls.
This is a great podcast that maintains neutrality and doesn’t stoop to the cursing and name calling of other podcasters (not journalists).

The episodes are hard to follow I just started listening with the intent to binge. However even in the first episode the hosts are discussing things that have “already been mentioned in previous episodes”. The episodes are clearly edited in a way that I am unable to tell what the hosts actually knew at the time of recording vs what was learned later on. Simply put, the episodes don’t flow. Terrible for a binge listen. Also, the male host really goes out of his way to explain or justify the police investigation and the Murdaugh’s behavior. All while stating emphatically that hes not favoring any sides. Stop giving random scenarios for what may or may not have happened. You don’t know ..none of us do. thats why there should be a complete unbiased investigation without maybes and guesswork nor fear or favor. It could be that Alex had nothing to do with any of this…he will forever be under a cloud if its all tainted and explained away.. If so many ppl get the same impression of your coverage . It may be time to reflect That said, good info from interviews but not enough info about what is actually happening in court and how all the people involved are related. PS - don’t need to hear from the murdaugh spokesperson (Sarah?) Anymore.
i came across this podcast again 8/13/26 listened to the Mandy Mattney contempt episode. You guys should have someone you trust listen and tell you if you sound mean, bitter, jealous and all the things because… yikes. I also read through the comments and it would appear that this is just the norm over here. Do better and stop publicly and very obviously rooting for the downfall of others.

Get your facts straight!
Quit trolling Mandy Matney and do your own investigative journalism!!! Oh wait you are just podcasters..
Will Folks is a joke
Educational and interesting!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this topic. A great depth on different views yet role model conversations with open minded spaces to hear others views. Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge.

Shame on y’all
You have lost a listener. Your last episode literally left a bad taste in my mouth. This show does nothing but highlight how South Carolina has one of the WORST legal systems in the country.
I have been listening since day one, and at first I was a fan. I used to applaud what I thought was the hosts ability to remain unbiased, but boy was I wrong. As the years have passed it has become more and more obvious that the people on this podcast are part of the problem, and are invested in making sure the South Carolina legal system keeps the status quo.
SC is a good place to live for the Haves, but god forbid you’re a Have-Not...

Very Shallow
Despite hearing the hosts ask their listeners to engage with them on Facebook, there seems to be an unspoken rule about what the IOI hosts believe their (now former listener) should ask. As someone not from SC but who listens to many podcasters from South Carolina covering the Murdaugh trial, I asked what I thought was a simple question about whether podcaster Will Folks, who was allowed to view and photograph sealed evidence, would face any criminal charges. IOI has featured Mr. Folks on their podcast more than once. This question apparently hit a nerve, which led IOI hosts to remove me from their Facebook page. Very strange!

Love the show!!
Best true crime podcast out there. I love that they have both sides in a case (when they can) explain their points. Great explanation of court documents too! Love Seton, Matt and the Professor!!!

Glad you showed the truth
Oh my gosh, I wish somebody would have pointed out during that deposition or whatever it was court contempt hearing that her husband was with her when she was supposed to be present so if her husband is a security guard then why didn’t she go to the deposition, this is so stupid she is so guilty. I hope honestly the judge nailed her appreciate you guys showing the truth.

Not a good look
It is clearly a misuse of the courts and and unlawful prosecution. You should be on the side of journalists not joining in with your pitch forks.

Good Podcast
I would really like to listen to the whole Murdaugh saga that is coming up on your podcast. But I just tried listening, the voices, female was one, I couldn’t understand. I guess they were not close to the microphone. If I can’t hear or understand what is being said, then I have to move on. Ty

Great podcast
I listen to this podcast and I have also been a long time listener to Mandy Matney’s podcast; I like them both and wish you guys could be on the same page. Mandy seems more guilty of this as of late but it seems she is also under an undo amount of stress. I just want to weigh in on my view of what probably bothers her (the way I see it, I don’t know her personally) and that’s NOT talking or being able to talk about things. I feel her pain because I have noticed that in work and life power is held from me behind closed doors, the things I DON’T know always hurt me. The things people KEEP from me are the most harmful. I think this is where her sunlight thing comes in; she wants to draw out all of those “monsters” who play this game in the dark into the light, or draw them out from behind closed doors to expose them for what they really are. Most of the BS in life happens in secret. The system would not be corrupt if everyone had to actually do and say their piece in front of everyone else. It’s closed doors and hidden agendas that cause corruption (Alex Murdaugh being the prime example of this in our time). This seems the be the way she sees it as a journalist (and her job as a journalist is to draw out the truth) and I totally agree though I’m just a graphic designer. But I also think having a voice of reason (not as emphatic) is important too and that’s what I appreciate about your podcast with you guys and the “Professor.”

Worst of the Murdaugh Podcasts
Poorly researched, used to air personal grievances and grudges against other journalists, very unoriginal. Yuck

Never too late for a review!
I have been listening to you since the Murdaugh trial. You both were so refreshing after listening to the Mandy pod. Thank you for your respectful approach to difficult and challenging situations that arise from the subject matter that your podcast deals with. I am sorry that we can’t say goodbye to Alex M but justice must be served.

Disappointing
I loved this podcast when it first started. Over time, I realized they weren’t being honest about their neutrality, as they inserted little passive aggressive digs into episodes and social media posts. It’s petty and immature and I had to unfollow everything. I hate it because I love Seton’s dad, but I just can’t support them anymore.

It was a very good podcast. I enjoyed how you handled the difficulty of the complex going on. You try to be empathetic and fair to both site. That being said. Parker and company our tools. Thanks enjoy the podcast.

I really enjoyed this podcast in the beginning but I can no longer handle the “we give voice to everyone” attitude. Why give a felon a platform? Come on!
Why give platform to people who just lie about things and there are no tough questions asked? This is not journalistic integrity.
You’re not journalists so my expectations should not have been high.

Fits News Garbage
The guilty party always says they have something big just beyond the horizon or they have all the answers in their back pocket but just can’t release it yet. Neither one will ever come to light from good ole Fits News.

Dr murderer
I’m surprised you are shocked that a surgeon would murder his ex and her husband. I’ve listened to several podcasts about abusive, murderous Doctors. Just because they are intelligent and educated doesn’t mean that they are good people.

Hosts are disturbingly chummy with known egotistical chauvinist attention seekers.

The Outdated Racial Caste System, USA and Blanca
When Blanca shows such respect for people who were so destructive, but probably wouldn’t show that same respect for the people who built South Carolina and USA (people of African descent), it’s a sad testament to how broken the USA is.

The Best Murdaugh Podcast
Y’all just keep getting better! Excellent analysis and discussion of recent happenings, court filings, theories and guest experts! I appreciate your ability to cover all sides and let listeners come to their own conclusions. Keep the good work and great guests coming!

Thank you!
Thank you for your interview with Blanca. I’ve been following this podcast since you started following the Murdaugh family. And I listen to Matt weekday mornings on the radio. You are doing great work as always! Keep it up!

I Just Can’t…
I was a listener from the beginning of this podcast. In spite of their protest of neutrality, these people just want *so much* for Murdaugh to get a new trial and be found not guilty that I can no longer listen. It’s just painful to listen to.

I just can’t
I have tried to give you guys a chance. I’ve followed since Murdaugh and the more you give stupidity a voice the weaker you show becomes. Alex did it end of story. May he rot in prison. His attorneys are a joke as is the SC “Justice” system.

To those Paul Murdaugh apologists out there, if you get drunk, get behind the wheel of any vehicle, and kill someone, it’s not a “tragic accident.” It’s murder.

Holy Ads
Enjoying the podcast but not the interrupting ads very often for such short episodes.

Dixon matter
Clearly, this man is going to file suit, if he hasn’t already, for alleged false arrest and a host of other allegations. Why would you have him on a show when clearly there’s going to be litigation that ensues. I think an attempt to sway public opinion on this matter, does not encourage the pursuit of justice. Or is it to ensure that you are the news outlet of choice that gets the story from the plaintiff post litigation? Except in this instance, I really do enjoy your podcast and especially when attorney/dad gives his seasoned legal opinions. He really is one of the best parts of your podcast.

What the h*** is wrong with you?
I came across this podcast through another podcast I listen to. It was about Kaden Moses. The unhinged and insensitive way the male host had the MOTHER relive what she discovered after her son shot himself. I had to turn it off when he told her “if I ask anything that gets to be too much, you don’t have to answer” and callously described a “crunch and plop” regarding Kaden’s mother’s experience moving his head. Are you kidding me? Super insensitive and sounds like he’s going for shock and gore porn. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Stop with the digs at other podcasts
I enjoy your podcast for the most part. It’s annoying that you frequently take shots and make negative comments about other podcasters. I really wish you would stop doing that .. there are a lot of us who download multiple true crime podcasts .. there’s enough of us listening for all of you… I know who you’re referring to and I don’t know any of you but don’t appreciate the “digs”.. we get it. Y’all don’t like each other. Grow up and stop bickering.

August 21 episode with Valerie was amazing. I immediately downloaded the Kindle book and have had a hard time putting it down much like listening to every episode of this podcast. Matt and Seaton are extremely real with their conversations and I have enjoyed every episode, Murdaugh related or not.

I spat my coffee when you suggested Murdaugh’s attorneys could be working pro bono. Nope. There’s money. There’s trust money. Love the podcast.

Fantastic Podcast
Absolutely love this podcast! Have followed and listened from the beginning! You always bring factual, honest, and diplomatic commentary! It’s refreshing to listen to. The other podcast with this story should take some lessons from you. Their sarcasm and arrogance ruined their podcast and I can no longer listen to it. I am captivated with this story and appreciate your take on it!

Episode 143 one of the worst
I’ve been a regular listener but this episode reminds me how these two have no credentials, Matt Harris is all over the board, likes to hear himself talk, and lacks professionalism. Did we watch the same Netflix show or hear/see same trial. And as far as Judge Newman’s bias, judges speaking to/sentencing someone after a jury finds the defendant guilty doesn’t give them the benefit of the doubt any longer. It seems the judge was profoundly sad that someone he had worked with turned out not to be what he thought. Makes me question whether these two are on the Murdaugh payroll to sow doubt at all costs, no integrity what so ever. To hear them tell the story these ‘white collar crimes’ of taking advantage of others aren’t really deserving of punishment. So disappointing.

The Worst Interview
Giving so much benefit of the doubt to the dismissed Murdaugh trial juror was it for me. She doesn’t make sense, she’s all over the place, and comes off as completely unreliable. The conclusions she’s making are not based on logic, but and y’all keep going with the interview as if it does make sense. The nonsense that is being spun makes my head hurt.

Unbiased which makes biased people mad
It’s hilarious reading the reviews that say this podcast is biased because literally every one is mad that they aren’t taking the side they’re on. I actually think it’s petty clear that they both think he’s guilty but the fact that they even give the other side a chance to speak makes them biased?! Also they challenge a lot of their guests but I guess they’re just not as aggressive as some people want? They’re both very open about the fact that they’re learning as they go, open to feedback, and not perfect. That’s actually my favorite thing about this podcast. It’s real, and yet still doesn’t feel amateur bc they clearly put a ton of work into it and take it very seriously. Keep doing you guys! But Matt, maybe just try to interrupt less. That’s coming from a place of understanding bc I’m an interrupter but I’ve learned that if I try to be really conscious about it, I can control it.
