12 Hour Day with J.D. and Connor

J.D. and Connor wander the city because it's holiday season again. Connor shows J.D. "Maclunkey" and they meet up with their friend Patrick for lunch. They go to a toy store, spend a lot of time in Lincoln Center, and then spend a lot of time talking to their dear friend, Tom. They spend a lot of time talking with Tom. They like Tom.

J.D. and Connor go on a cold adventure (but there is also warmth). They talk about why this episode took a while to release. J.D. reflects on his year. They record the first ever "introduction" to the podcast. Connor and J.D. walk around the cold city. They meet up with family, friends, and listen to strangers. They spend time on a museum boat. They warm up in a church. They return to the toy store. Connor still won't drop the shoelace thing.

After the longest gap between episodes, neither Connor nor J.D. has slept much, so they keep things simple. They stay in and just catch up. Connor gives his opinion on shoelaces.

J.D. and Connor spend the whole day at the Upright Citizen's Brigade theater before it closes. This episode has lots of strangers and guests, a lot of technical mishaps, and one window-based 12HD dream fulfilled. Included in this episode is a tour of the old theater and a hard-to-listen-to section where they interview someone through a pane of glass.

While we wait for J.D. to post the newest episode, Connor really wanted to get some fresh content out there for April Fools Day. So, this is 12 Hour Minute-- one minute of conversation stretched to be the same 12 Hour Length you know and love. Connor and J.D. aren't really even sure the technology behind this works and it's essentially an empty shell of occasional clicks in it's twelve hour length. But, if you can somehow re-condense this down to a minute and the data isn't completely lost during that metamorphosis... then you have yourself a solid one minute of fresh new content.

Connor and J.D. stay inside for twelve hours and talk. It's been a long time, so they feel refreshed and have a lot to talk about. Is this the new "first" episode? Connor hides. J.D. collapses in laughter. A chat with a friend. This is 12HD back to the basics.

As a special twelfth episode treat J.D. and Connor get lunch with a new friend. J.D. has bought new equipment. Connor has to perform a show. This episode has conversations about art, unexpected surprises, an audio archive of one of Connor's shows and a stolen radio broadcast. This was a good twelve hour day.

J.D. and Connor start the episode at J.D.'s apartment and eventually have to head into the city because J.D. has to edit and episode of Season 2 of the Chris Gethard Show. Connor talks to people on the phone at the show offices while J.D. works. They spend a lot of time together just talking and end up walking to a Broadway theater together. They create new songs, reflect on their viewer/listenership, and J.D. provides some private time after Connor has to leave.

J.D. and Connor start out at Connor's apartment and intend to spend the day doing holiday stuff. They get caught up in conversation and eventually have to head into the city so Connor can perform in a Star Wars themed show. J.D. saves a stranger's hat, but gets badly injured along the way. J.D. and Connor steal power from Lincoln Center. Connor and J.D. find some pleasant New York City holiday joy and also find themselves in the middle of a New York City holiday nightmare. There's some private time, some wandering, some time at the UCB Theater, and a couple phone calls to important people.

J.D. and Connor board a plane together to Colorado so that they can both attend a wedding. They wander the airports, talk on the plane, drive through the mountains, and accidentally fall asleep for several hours during the podcast (which is included in it's entirety due to listener outcry). Also, the recorder runs out of batteries and without an outlet J.D. and Connor have no course of action. The podcast picks up weeks later as Connor and J.D. attend the taping of a WFMU radio show. This episode contains some very special guests and has some sections casual listeners may have to fast-forward through.
