The back is such a key muscle group for so many reasons. It provides functional strength for all of our daily movements and actions, as well as providing the aesthetic that so many people desire: a "V" shape.
Whether that "V" shape is heavily pronounced, like a bodybuilder, or moderately pronounced like someone who is just generally fit, there's NO question that someone who exhibits a wider upper body and more narrow waist will appear fit, in shape and well-built.
