In today’s episode I discuss how updates to the Associated Press stylebook discourage use of the word ‘riot,’ and how they've expanded the definition of the word ‘protest’ to include ‘violence’." I discuss how this equivocation (an often used logical fallacy) is common in propaganda. In my opinion this is a perfect example of how words are being redefined for propagandistic purposes. I also discuss, for a moment, some of the flaws in both the Left and the Right's take on Black Lives Matter, and Antifa, protests. And at the end I spend a few minutes discussing an example of the varied use of the words "claim" and "said" in news media reporting in order to suggest clear implications to readers and listeners.
