After all that we have discussed. I now ask you one last question; how can we become restored. My brother told me something a long time ago and it stuck with it until this very day. “Everyone was to talk about the problem but doesn’t want to be the solution”. What are the solutions you want to make in your family and the generational patterns you face? Who do you want to see your purpose revealed by God, and what is truly your identity found in? Let’s talk about sex for a moment. A topic that many of us who grew up in the church like me all of their lives that was yet wasn’t discussed. Many of us decided to save ourselves until marriage while some of either have not or rededicated our purity back to God, which is good. In this episode, I talk with two great people, Josh and Elijah regarding the impact of sexual purity while unpacking some brokenness that we could have experienced along the way, such as how we were first introduced to or heard about sex. Trigger warning: some content displayed may not be easy to hear, I ask that you can conscious of what may trigger you and please understand that we are trying to be sensitive to everyone’s story regarding this topic.

Many of us have experienced some form of rejection whether that be romantically or platonically. From being rejected by men, jobs, colleges to members of our own families, the pain of rejection can sometimes make us feel worse than anything else. However, rejection doesn’t have to be apart of our story and neither does it need to be accepted by us. What do I mean? I mean rejection is not you and neither should be hold on to it for long. Moral of the point is: The only acceptance that we should only want is Jesus, not the of man. In a world of many people, we have such a tendency to compare ourselves to one another. Including myself, which is something I still struggle with. However, like the words of Jermaine Cole, we won’t have true happiness until you love yours. In this episode, loving yourself in spite of being rejected by someone is what it is all about. Your treasure is found in you and in you is The Lord, which is all you need. Maybe it’s because it’s something that “your family has always done”, or it could be a generational curse that no wants to talk about or at least did not say something to grandmother which could passed down to your mother. This episode introduces the experience of those dealings with uncertainty of generational patterns in their families while unleashing the common types of generational curses brought upon families that are not discussed.

Being that guy or girl can share many definitions. However, it is not just about how many accolades you possess or how much attention you receive from your peers. More so, it is about self-love, celebrating yourself, and finding exactly what that is internally rather than just externalities. In this episode, I sit down with one of close friends, Mike to ask him what it means for him to be “That Guy” for himself while I also identify what this means from a women’s perspective as well. From defining our terms of what we are and how we celebrate ourselves, we also discuss the pressures and responsibilities that come from who we are and where we want to go.

Some of us have probably asked the question before but didn’t really have or knew the answer regarding who we are. Maybe we know our name and what our favorite color is but can’t tell ourselves what our purpose is and what does it tell us about our identity.
