This episode looks at new research - the largest comparison ever conducted on how assisted reproductive technology impacts twin births. This was a large study looking at all twin babies born in the USA from 2015-2017, and it compared how well the twins and their mothers were doing based on fertility treatment. There were three groups: 1) Natural conception 2) IUI or ovulation-inducing meds 3) IVF or ICSI The study results brought some relief and some cause for concern.

A recent study looked at the use of Enbrel (etanercept) in women with multiple failed attempts to transfer good quality IVF embryos. This is the largest study to date that has looked at using Enbrel in women with recurrent implantation failure; the results were quite promising. A large U.S. study of women trying to conceive -and who had already lost up to two pregnancies - were randomized to take low dose "baby" aspirin or placebo daily. This episode discusses the impact of low-dose aspirin on menstrual cycle patterns and hormone levels. The women in this study were: 18-40 years 1-2 previous pregnancy losses (miscarriages) 0-2 previous live births
