I love yours podcast

This is a classic example of the age we live in. Everyone is an expert now that the tools to create are dumbed down. Kind of reminds me of how, since the advent of desktop publishing and the gazillion programs available for graphic design, everybody and their dog is a graphic designer. Except they’re not.

Just the right balance of interesting facts and humor delivered with dulcet tones. Highly recommended.

I’ve a been humble fan of Moxie’s podcast ever since I accidentally bumped into her pineapple episode. Admittedly I only follow 4 podcasts, but this is my absolute favorite. Im also a fan of the audiobook. Personally, I can’t do regular books as they put me to sleep, so I rely solely on audiobooks for new inspiration. The audiobook version of this book follows Moxie’s usual format of finding the tiniest details about a topic while smoothly transitioning to similar ( just thought you should know) topics. I’m sure she’ll come out with a second book in the near future.

Your Brain on Facts was my second ever podcast! Moxie got me hooked on podcasts; I have been searching for another one that is as witty, warm, and packed with anymore amusing randomness. I have found some great podcasts, but only Your Brain on Facts is my coveted weekly treat! Episode 172, ‘Best Served Loud,’ taught me Van Morrison really is my spirit animal. He recorded a day long filibuster of lists and assorted nonsense to chop up into the 36 songs owed to his record company. Done and dusted! Good stuff, Moxie.

I started listening about 1 month ago after Hearing Moxie on Fantastic History Of Food, and can’t stop listening! I especially liked the episode about banned books. I love to listen as I am reading, and playing with legos. Anyone in my family will tell you about my love of facts, and this podcast nurtures my appreciation of history and facts. Moxie’s voice is extremely relaxing and never ceases to make me feel better after a long or stressful day. Whenever I see a new episode I drop everything to put on my headphones and listen. I recommend this podcast to anyone who will listen, and can’t wait when new episodes are released. Thank you so much for this wonderful podcast Moxie!

I love this podcast and am so happy Moxie is so prolific! A very compelling mix of the obscure to the commonplace, and a riveting listen no matter what.

Your brain on facts is truly a treasure. I have a lot of downtime as a tower crane operator. I listen to at least 35 different podcasts faithfully. This one is Top 5 in my rotation, if not #1 itself. Moxies voice is soothing, her research is amazing and the show flows without a hitch. I am also the host of my own podcast (Black Men’s book club) and I have to say that I admire Moxie for all the hard work and dedication that she puts into this show. 5 stars!

I only just started listening to Moxie and I am so impressed with the quality of the content. Definitely in my top fave podcasts now which is a feat because I really only listen to true crime. Moxie’s voice is so lovely to listen to and her humor and wide array of knowledge are on point.

I first heard Moxies calm and lovely voice guest hosting with the guys on Hysteria 51 Podcast, her wit and knowledge wowed me enough to listen to the very same podcast again! I’ve been a steady listener since then. Moxie mixes wonderfully researched facts and information together in a soothing slurry that is sure to captivate. And to top it all off, if you enjoy humor delivered intelligently, this is your podcast. Thanks again for hosting such a great podcast!

I’m just another fan. Love as you read your book. Love falling asleep to the facts. Admitting to that, I always replay most of the episodes. lol

So far I’ve only made it through half of the episodes but I can’t get enough. I also became a Patreon and was shocked to find such a small number of supporters so step it up you freeloaders. Moxie obviously puts a lot of effort into this so would a couple of dollars a month kill you?

Moxie is so witty and has such an amazing voice! All of her segways make me giggle a little bit every time ha ha! She is funny and entertaining all while having the knowledge of an encyclopedia. Love this podcast, keep up the good work Moxie!

Moxie does a fantastic job giving hella cool facts in an interesting way and with the most soothing voice. You cannot get bored listening to YBoF! You rock, Moxie. You are the best and thanks for all you do (except for maybe that 1 particular cheese bit 😜).

Moxie puts lots of information in this little podcast, and I learn a lot by listening. Love it, but, to be completely honest, I would listen to Moxie read a phone book. Her voice is THAT good, sweet yet incredibly precise and clear.

I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this fantastic, fun facts podcast recently. Moxie does a brilliant job at flowing unique, lesser known facts and history together for every topic with the perfect amount of tasteful humor. Even her sponsor plugs are funny, I don’t even skip past them! Moxie is incredibly talented in her research and presentation on every podcast and I cannot wait to read her book. Side note: she did say Popeyes chicken sandwich isn’t that good (which I do not personally understand) although she makes up for it by loving the movie Clue. Listening to her makes me think if I knew her in person, she would be a great friend with thoughtful conversation. You’ve got a life long listener Moxie, thanks for everything you do!

Learned of hee from hystwria 51. Problem is.... “moxie labouche” produces ZERO results when searching Apple podcasts. Actually, “Moxie Lab” produces zero results. Kinda bogus. Moxie - get Apple to fix that ish!!

Heard Moxie on hysteria 51 and gave her show a listen and was immediately hooked. Moxie’s voice and delivery combined with the amount of facts she gets into a half hour show and the facts themselves make for a show that’s impossible not to binge the back catalogue while waiting impatiently for the new episode. Moxie You’ve got a listener for life(or as long as you do the podcast) p.s. how about a burlesque episode since that’s your background. (Or is there one in the back episodes I haven’t gotten to yet?)

This show is fantastic. Brilliantly written, paced and presented. Each episode contains so much depth that they are easily heard again and again with something new coming from each listen. Moxie is very talented. Her usage and delivery are perfectly suited to the material. I look forward to learning more fascinating facts and amusing anecdotes from this incredibly professional and entertaining talent. Also looking forward to getting her book.

She often includes experts for short segments on the show that are always insightful and informative. I have been listening to “Your brain on facts” for about a week now. I can not recommend it enough. Moxie is a GREAT host! I personally love history, but Moxie makes me love it more! I LOVE this podcast so much. I’m a complete trivia freak, and will soak up all that information goodness that Moxie showers me with every episode. I look forward to each episode. Moxie is great at providing unique information and keeping it interesting. She also seems to genuinely care about her listener’s thoughts, opinions and perspectives. A fact that I greatly appreciate.

I have never given a podcast a five-star rating until now. Everything about ‘Your Brain on Facts’ is a five level. The topics are interesting and entertaining. Moxie does a fantastic job in her research and presentation; I swear she could read the telephone book and make it fascinating! The facts never fall flat; they are interspersed with her Attic wit and comment making YBOF a truly scrumptious experience that satiates an appetite for nerdy knowledge. Moxie is the best!

I never thought I’d get into podcasts. Then I found YOUR BRAIN ON FACTS! Moxie and her research is like the top level stuff I grade the rest of my podcasts too. She kept me awake and going on a 14 hr drive to the beach and I’ve been an addict ever since. Thanks Moxie for opening up my ears to the insane world of podcast. Congrats on the 100th episode.

The host has an exceptionally pleasant voice and seems like an exceptionally pleasant person. I use this podcast to fall asleep, as it's interesting enough to keep me from distracting myself with worrying; at the same time it's not so detailed that I become totally lost if I drift off. I'm subtracting two stars for an issue that are increasingly offputting, however. The host constantly fails to follow normal podcasting conventions for "housekeeping" chat. Rather than put chatter about social media, donors, production credits, promotions for unrelated side projects, etc in a single block at the start or end of each episode, she interrupts EVERY episode multiple times with it. Some contain as many as five off-topic interruptions in a single short episode. Some digressions (especially those about a random Facebook group she runs) go on for several minutes- long enough that I've deleted several episodes in annoyance without bothering to finish. I've been listening to podcasts since 2005, and this kind of structure is rarely used for good reason. It disrupts the flow of an episode, distracts listeners, and is generally inconsiderate of the audience. Hopefully the host gets a better handle on how podcasting differs from radio, as there's a lot to like here.

Can’t get enough of this! My brain loves being on facts!

This podcast is very well researched. You are definitely going to learn something new every time you listen. Moxie also has a very soothing voice to listen to on the way to work or after a long day. Keep up the great work!! I especially loved the Jews writing Christmas songs episode.

The vast repository of useless information that is my brain has grown even larger thanks to Moxie. Interesting facts delivered in an entertaining, funny and sometimes snarky manner. This is one of the few podcasts that I listen to immediately when it pops up in my feed. Thank you Moxie!

This podcast is full of interesting facts. The facts are a mixture of everything known about the episode’s subject. I’ve always been a person that would just sit and read the encyclopedia or read every article and research paper on every subject I can. I’m endlessly searching for knowledge. This podcast feeds my desire to know about everything. I like that the host does not talk down to listeners, or dumb down her vocabulary, and her voice is a pleasure to listen to.

Moxie's YBoF is the ideal solo cast. It's scripted and polished with a wonderful hook in the format and presentation. I get to take a pleasant bite from the apple of knowledge several times a week with Your Brain on Facts.
